Dose it really have to take so long when you get pulled over? Sure there is the background check and the paper work for the ticket, but a half an hour just seems like too much... or maybe I'm bitter haha. Your thoughts.

Eh, maybe you're just unlucky. The few times that I've been in a car with someone who was pulled over it only last about 5-10 minutes.

Did you do something other than a moving violation? That's the only reason someone would/should get pulled over for longer than 15 minutes. But who knows? Maybe the cop wanted to make you feel bad with all of the people driving by looking at you. Be glad he didn't make you get out and sit on the curb while he searched your vehicle. That takes forever and they always make a mess.

maybe it was more your vehicle looked like one they were on the lookout for, or the cop didn't like your face.

I don't like getting pulled over because whenever I do I feel like I'm going to be arrested(Cuz I'm black).

I've only been the passenger when pulled over, but it only took us 5 minutes for the officer to be done with everything. I guess how severe it is determines how long it takes.

Every time I've been pulled over, it only took up to 15 minutes. Usually 8 minutes.

What about the police brutality stereotype?

On topic: Only ever taken five minutes or so with me. Likely because I have no record and mind my p's and q's. I also drive like a granny, so I don't get pulled over much to begin with.

I've only ever been a passenger when this has happened. Luckily, it was for a RBT (random breath test), and my boyfriend is extremely good about not drinking when he drives. So the test came out negative, and we were away within 5 minutes.

Just cuz it's a stereotype doesn't mean it never happens and doesn't scare the shit outta me.

I've only ever been the passenger in cars that get pulled over. One was with my dad and all we got yelled at for was a broken headlight but that was resolved in less than two minutes. I did get stopped whilst walking to school one day.

I never gotten pulled over where it did not take at lest 15 minutes, i take that mean i am speeding and obviously in a hurry and the cop is going to sit in their car and watch porn to pass the time while i loose time on my travel. SO i get back on the road and go faster soon as he is out of my rear view mirrors :p.

so yea they generally do it to be arses. cause they cant tell me it take more than 5 min to run your license number or SS and maybe another 3 minutes to write a ticket. got the point where kinda for giggles last time i was nicked for speeding i told the cop straight up hurry up and write the ticket cause i was in a hurry. that took i think near 30 minutes :p.

It's almost always taken about 15-20 minutes for a cop to do the paperwork and id check when I've been pulled over.
