Can't Bear This Party and Melody Fall have my attention at the moment. Good cheer-up music, in my mind. It's considered "Happycore" (Pop/punk) and simply makes me want to get up and dance.
Music! Music has a huge influence on my mood. Probably not such a good thing, actually. And being with friends is also good, although sometimes if I'm in a crap mood, I'm not really feeling very social.
Just want to point out your avatar makes that song like 10x funnier. And it was pretty funny to start with.
But yeah, I don't think much works better than listening to something uplifting. Putting a game on easy and going on a rampage is a pretty effective blues-kicker too.
Left 4 Dead 2 + Easy + Unending crescendo event = Barrels of uplifting, gory fun.
Breath in deep and think of the positives. If that fails I'll try to take my mind of it with some music or just forget while playing a game. If those things are not in reach at the time then have a shower or buy some chocolate.
And if none of those things are around then I will punch and kick something.
If you don't feel up to being social: then go on a nature trip; a good walk does wonders for my mind. If not, then I guess anything that is relaxing, but sufficiently complex to take your mind off your woes.
For me, that would involve reading, gaming, movies, etc.
