I live in Ireland, and I'm around the age where I can both get into Airsofting, and Fund myself so I don't have to rely on Parents to get my gear. I'm getting my first gun in about a week as a Christmas Gift from my parents. A nice, affordable Classic Army Sportline M15A4 Carbine. Nice and cheap at 150 Euros, but still a good performer so that I can go out and compete in a Skirmish.

I plan on getting myself a good Backup and some Tactical Gear in the January sales from the money relatives give at Christmas, but I don't want to jump in feet first and make some sort of horrid mistake, so, I thought it would be good to ask you good people at the Escapist for some advice and information on the sport, namely:
Is there any Common Misconception that could lead me astray in a Skirmish?
Is there any Gear I will be murdered without, beyond my Mask and Rifle?
Have I made a good choice of Weapon?
Are there any Shoddy Manufacturers I should watch out for when buying?

Those are my main questions, but I will also be eternally grateful for any other advice and information you can give.

In case you need to know:
I am in my Mid-Teens. Old enough to be responsible for my actions and considered an adult, but too young to go into Full-Time Employ due to ongoing Education and lack of sufficient Qualification.
I live in a very Rural Area. No one in my area would care about me firing off an Airsoft Gun during the day or night (There are numerous shotgun owners and a shooting range nearby) and what exists of a Police Force in the area have no problems with me owning one. (We have already informed and asked them.)
I have a rather low budget. 140-50 Pounds/Euros would be my maximum for any one piece of kit. Around 200-250 overall.
I am going for an Assault/Marksman/Scout Role. I do not like wasting rounds, I like to take one shot and bring an enemy down, but do not suit a Sniper Role. I can't spend money on an expensive modified rifle, and I would not suit the patient, slow pace of a Sniper Role, as I am rather twitchy and agile, although I have the build for a Scout, being very light and slim, and so I am ruled out for a full Support or Assault Role. I wouldn't be able to lug around 20 kilos of equipment, as I am rather frail.
And you can ask it you need know anything else.
