I was just listening to the boss battle music themes in a different thread and it got me to thinking about how I felt during some of these boss fights. I miss that feeling.

I am a student who just started a professional career as a web developer. I also run my own retail business on the side. The reason for this thread is that I find it hard, when I have a limited amount of time to play games, to actually get into the game I am playing. Adult life, as I have experienced so far (still live at home, moving out within the year), makes it difficult to become invested in games, especially the RPGs I love so much.

I am sitting here thinking that maybe once my life settles down, I figure out my money problems and get out of my parents house that I may once have the ability to actually get lost in a game again.

I play games to escape, but I am finding it harder and harder. What are your thoughts fellow gamers?

I work, have college, a busy family life in general and in the past days I haven't really been in the mood for any game (even though I have three pending and Portal 2 to finish not to mention co-op) I sort of sympathise. I used to stay up nights to finish a game and played all day and I can't really afford to any more.

I do find it easy to be drawn into games, especially if I love them, because I'm so busy and want to forget my job. What's hard for me is actually starting a game.

Yeah I hear you on this. By time I get home and make dinner I have the time to maybe clear a vault out in New Vegas.

I pretty much hate life.
