Getting my DS online

Heya Escapist, I'm looking for a bit of tech support. I'm playing SoulSilver, and decided to go online to check out the GTS a while ago. However whenever I try to connect to ym wireless network, after entering my WEP key, I get a message saying:
"These settings are invalid. Confirm the information and try again. For help, visit support.nintendo.com."
I've gone to th website and nothing there is helping, so I was wondering if, assuming that my key is correct and it's the DS' fault, anyone here knows whats wrong.

Do you have a Nintendo Wi-Fi USB connector? I found that having that made connecting to the internet a lot easier (i.e. I couldn't do it before).

They are discontinued sadly, so would need to be gotten thought the 'net.

Anyway, does it try to test connection first?
