Why does the NAVY sponsor Ghost Hunters on the Sci-Fi channel?
I find this spooky in and of itself.

What business does the NAVY have for shelling out cash to sponsor a paranormal show. Furthermore, why if for recruitment reasons do they need fans of Ghost Hunters.

I know that the military doesn't hold very much boundaries for where they advertise, but this is the oddest instance I've witnessed. Am I missing something?

It's just advertising for recruitment.

Perhaps the Sci-Fi channel has studies done that show people who watch Ghost Hunters are more likely to have a certain level of education, or an interest in certain technologies the Navy employs.

I wouldn't take it as anything more then that.

Because all ghosts have a fatal weakness to The Village People, and the Navy is the only US military body that can make appropriate use of a Village People song.

I agree with Baby Tea (and I'd quote him if my phone could do it). Apparently the audience for Ghost Hunters is the demographic the navy wants to reach with their ads for recruiting.

Most likely. I don't ever watch anything on Sci-Fi except for the occasional Ghost Hunters episode, so maybe they sponsor a lot of programs for reasons like you said, because Sci-Fi viewers have a better intelligence or education average compared to some networks.
