Pizza Hut, to get my dinner ready?

How did you know this? Who are you working for? I NEED A NAME!

Anyway, Ghost is a good one. And the aforementioned Ghostbusters too.

I am all knowing. I work for no one.
Although, Ghostbusters is less horror and more totally fucking awesome. But, MAKE SURE YOU DON'T GET THE SECOND ONE.

Listen to this guy, he knows good movies.

As for a recommendation from me, Raiders of the Lost Ark.

What? There were ghosts at the end. It counts...

Japanese horror movies are generally good, IMO, if you want cerebral mind-fuckery opposed to things jumping out of the dark with barred teeth. If a movie was contributed to creatively by someone inspired by, "The Ring" it's probably worth a shot. Ring, Grudge, Dark Water...I just watched a movie called, "The Uninvited" which might actually be what your looking for, though technically...well, I can't ruin the ending.

I agree. You get ghosts AND Indiana Jones. It's a winning combination.

Ring. The original version, not the remake.
Or Dark water (same, original)
But but, they were just as bad. If anything it was less attractive japanese actresses and lower budgets...Ok im just partial to jen connolley so yea.

I see... less attractive japanese actesses. Fair, but the lad wanted a scary ghost film, not jenna jameson ! lmao

Besides, it's not the amount of WOOOSH and BOOOOOM that necessarily makes a scary film :p

Ghost of the Machine if you can even find a copy. Sort of a techie horror/ghost film not bad for an 80's flick.

How about a really good horror film instead. Blue sunshine or Squirm. lol LSD and worms what else do you need?

oh and ghostbusters :)

The Devil's Backbone and Ringu are good choices. They are both well-made and especially scary.

If you were seeing a film in theatres I'd say Drag Me To Hell all the way.

But since you're sitting at home, The exorcism of emily rose scared the piss out of me if you want something genuinely scary, and Unborn is fantastic simply because it sucks more than any movie I've ever seen. It's good for a laugh or two in it's "me too" mentality.

Poltergeist

How has this movie not come up in conversation? Amazing movie, scared the crap out of me as a kid. Not as scary now, but still damn good. The tiny medium lady with the strange voice is probably the scariest thing in that movie.
