So I think it was today this went into open beta, and from what little I've played it seems to be quite fun for a free shooter.

Not seen much hooha about it though, but anyone else played it? What are your thoughts?

The things I feel will be criticised are it's really campy, rather slow and cover based. However these are things I quite enjoy about it, as I don't really play anything like it so I haven't been saturated by cover based 3rd person Gears of War things.

There is the major issue to me of graphics options are "low" "med" and "high" and that's that, no tinkering for you.

As for free to play model I don't think it's too bad but I haven't played much, but it seems you can get everything needed without actually paying. From the little I've seen it doesn't seem too play to win which is basically the only thing that will make me not even play a f2p game.

Anyhow, give it a go and gimmie opinions.

Edit: Also can someone who has been in the closed beta weigh in on how far you can get without paying, if I'm going to hit a wall of not being able to compete around level 20 for example.

However if it's like League of Legends where everything gameplay wise is obtainable I'll likely end up buying a few things (or loads of things as is the case of LoL).

I've been playing since closed beta. The classes and the system is fun and I overall like it as a free shooter. The problem I have is that there are only a couple maps(four I think), which get old and boring after playing them several times.

Another thing I don't like is that I was given a coupon for free stuff in the store for winning a GRO contest. I did not receive the coupon until the last day of closed beta, so I thought I would save it for the next phase. The coupon did not work in this stage of beta, kinda mad.

Checked out some gameplay, looks a bit snipe happy for my tastes. I might give it a shot a while after release once the inevitable patches come into effect.

I've only played as an assault and regularly top the scoreboard and happily get kill streaks when on a flank, to be honest I love the way there's loads of snipers as they're terrible at looking behind.

There are class abilities that counter snipers, a mild amount of teamwork will get everyone onto a point easily if it's just against snipers.
