I like this point of view, although sometimes we do make the mistake of buying them first, then realising the pointless-ness of it all, thats the un-fun partDangerChimp said:What's the worry? You haven't paid a penny for it thus far and you can just rent it when it comes out. Don't sweat it -- if it sucks, no one will make you play it!
Yep. Fair enough.Abedeus said:Well, I agree. But:cuddly_tomato said:In my opinion it is unfair to call that game a movie tie in. It was a project Vin Diesel produced himself (apparently he plays video games) and genuinely wanted to make something of. The "movie tie in" genera is basically something produced with shiney colours that attempts to cash in on a block-buster movie release (Transformers).Abedeus said:The only good Film to Game was Chronicles of Riddick. And not just in the category "rides on the movie wagon", but it's one of the best damn games I've ever played.
- It was released after another movie.
- Has character voices FROM the movie.
- Relates to them.
So even if it's not based on one movie and it's not called "Riddick The Game", it still kinda counts as a movie to a game.
But it would be a horrible assumption to say they don't exist. I for one enjoyed the original Ghostbusters game for sega genesis... it really was rather good! Oh and Aladdin wasn't bad either! Man I miss my Genesiscuddly_tomato said:Yep. Fair enough.
One thing though - it was damn good! And I am truly at a loss to name any other game related to a movie that has been even average.
