It has the potential to be a great game, lets just hope "The Powers That Be" don't rush it out and release a buggy, crappy game. Who knows how many games have been bad when they should of been good because of the industry's greed?

From what I gather, they are actually using the plot of the ill fated third film for the game rather than remaking the first two.

Still, as I said, I am not convinced. Not even after these people tried to convince [http://www.escapistmagazine.com/forums/read/9.90089].

I don't know, if the third film isn't going to be made, then they might as well use its plot - it's probably better than anything that'd be penned exclusively for a game, in any case.

Whether I buy this will probably be contingent on a) whether the Wii version is worth it, b) whether it gets good reviews, and c) whether it has heaps and heaps of Bill Murray.

Trailers are like 99.9% of advertising; spawn of Satan bullshit, making something look more attractive than it probably is...and that trailer looked pretty weak!

Bill Murray has confermed that the game is the closest that they'll come to a 3rd movie. (call it Ghostbusters 3 if you will)

The game's storyline is written by Dan Aykroyd and Harold Ramis (the writers of the original films). They, along with Bill Murray and Ernie Hudson, will also lend their voices and likenesses to the game, so chanses are the story will be good.

I know it's been announced for a while, but holy crap am I excited. I will be buying it on the day of release. I think it looks pretty good judging from the few gameplay videos I've seen. My only real hope is that the Ghostbusters theme song is played on a constant loop throughout the entire game.

I really want this game to be good. It seems they put a lot of work into it by getting the actors for the movies to do the voices and the getting the movie writers to write the storyline.

Yet these things can only take a game so far. The actual game play and controls will factor in as well, so there is a chance that this game will suck.

Here's hoping it won't.

A third film is going to be made. They are writing it right now. It should be out in a couple of years (2012 if I read correctly). Harold Ramis revealed it during a radio interview.
