Mechwarrior 2 for the win! but no though I am still a huge fan of the battletech universe and I hope it doesn't go away because blowing crap up with giant robots will never grow old for me!
Oh gods, someone besides me remembers Mech 2.Drake the Dragonheart said:Mechwarrior 2 for the win! but no though I am still a huge fan of the battletech universe and I hope it doesn't go away because blowing crap up with giant robots will never grow old for me!
I remember R.A.D. as well, but only played the demo. I wish I had found it when it was on shelves.buggy65 said:I knew someone else must have played this! I love that there were actual consequences for colateral damage (If you squashed your girlfriends house she gets sad and lives with her grandma). I actually felt sorry for that chick.Quiotu said:Robot Alchemic Drive or R.A.D. - Hokey but awesome game from Enix before they merged with Square. Giant robot vs. giant robot in classic anime style, that the likes of Big O and Giant Robo made famous. The game had a twist, because you weren't in the robot, you were controling it from within the city; and you could only watch the battle from first person and occasionally a helicopter news cam, so you had to find a high spot and stay far enough away from the action, or you'd get squashed. A unique twist on the genre I haven't seen tried again since.
I actually keep my Pentium 3 around running Windows 98 SE so I can play Mechwarrior 3 and so I can play Carmageddon 2.Wicky_42 said:I want a new Mechwarrior D: Number 3 doesn't work on my new PC, but it was sooo sweet. That said, the anime-styled 'Bootfighter Wingdom XP SP-2' is hella sweet, especially for a freeware game - google it and give it a shot.

No. 2 of that is coming out in March this year in US and EUdarrinwright said:See Dynasty Warriors: Gundam. While I love giant robots and I love Gundam, this pretty much did it for me.
Actually, the day I made that post about R.A.D., I did some searching around town. I actually found TWO used copies of that game still around. The game only cost $10 as well, so I picked one up. If you're still interested in trying it, I say check out your local game store and try your luck. If I could find 2 copies in Omaha, it shouldn't be too hard to find it most anywhere.AceDiamond said:I remember R.A.D. as well, but only played the demo. I wish I had found it when it was on shelves.
