While playing Fallout: New Vegas just now, I discovered you can replenish your health by drinking the blood of your victims scattered over the sands of the Mojave Desert. I thought it was bizarre and kind of awesome at the same time. And almost completely unnecessary, like the abilty to push over Brahmin while crouching. (A feature that carries over from Fallout 3)Just thought you'd like to know.

And I have a question for you. What are your favorite and/or useless gimmicks from any video game?

MAJOR EDIT: Turns out that was a glitch. This whole patch of seemingly dry ground is giving me HP. Continue the discussion though...

Minecraft has a ton - the main one I think is probably milking a cow. It requires so much effort and its completely useless.

Holding hands in Fable 3. It's all well and good until my male Hero had to hold a guy's hand to take him into Brightwall. Seriously, what happened to NPCs just following you?

Who doesn't wanna watch Shepard get his dance on? Or getting danced on...

Most recently, I spent about forty five minutes shooting hoops in Saints Row 2. Completely pointless.
