How many of you have non-gaming girlfriends? (second life doesn't count)

I think we've all noticed the hilarity that "girlfriend + game" ensues [http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=pCjVV843nFw].

So, share your own antics.

I'll go first, my GF calls the Heavy from TF2 the "Sandwich guy", because the first line she heard from him was one of his sandvich lines.

My last GF played WoW and handfull of games on the ps2.

When we broke up she started to become a WoW whore and started dating people on wow...She also wanted them to come to the state and our appartment.(still lived with her and another roomie after breakup) It was terrible.

So never again will I date a girl that plays the same MMO that I do, I personaly do not want a gamer GF.

Girls I know seem to be almost retarded when it comes to gaming, steering away from it entirely(whilst trying to take me with them!)

I think most people would have 'non-gaming' girlfriends, my girlfriend plays Kingdom for Keflings a bit, and the XBLA crosswords game but I don't think that really classifies her as a gamer!

Although she did by me my 360 so it's all good.

My girlfriend is significantly better at RE5 than I am. It's actually a bit embarassing.

I played Super Smash Brothers Melee a month or so ago with my girlfriend. Her character was Kirby. I swear he's the default character for girls that don't play games.
She doesn't mind I do, because I don't really all that much. Also, I never play them around her because it's rude unless I'm trying to get her to participate.

I am a gaming girlfriend and my boyfriend seems to love that. Hell, it's the basis of our whole relationship! In the early days, we'd play Halo together and as it's progressed we both acquired 360s and now we set them up in the same room and play Saints Row 2 on co-op as well as GOW and L4D.

My ex wasn't into games though and now that I'm so heavily into it, I just can't imagine being with someone who doesn't like games. It goes both ways: although men are more likely to be gamers, it can be a pain in the butt if your partner doesn't game and you do, whether you're male or female, because they're likely to just see it as a waste of time.

My girlfriend happily sat next to me for about 15 hours of Fable II, she found it more fun to watch and see the plot and silly antics ensue.

My gf's never cared that I game a lot, as long as I spent time with them they didn't care :) although it usually ended up falling apart for different reasons one of them dragged it back to games >.> my 360 was dead and gone when she pulled that one on me >.>

I've never really felt close enough to really get into a relationship. I struggle to remain sociable enough to maintain friendships. Call me a loner if you want, I prefer the title of "teenage mutant ninja hermit" Or just hermit for short.

My ex-wife never really played games till we started going out, and then she loved them, even if it meant me playing the game for her. But then we got married and that's when she let me know she didn't ever want to game. It was all a show.

My ex-fiance also liked to game a little, but she would always get mad at how much better at them I was and then refuse to play them again. Seemed every week we were buying a new game she'd pick out, but after a day or two she'd just give up. Got to the point where if she started enjoying a game, I'd just quit playing it altogether. But then she'd complain because when she got stuck, I wouldn't know how to help her.

My last ex only likes games like Diner Dash and other on-line casual games that she can compete against people with.

My fiance now does not game and I'm perfectly happy with that fact. I'd much rather spend my time with her doing actual stuff, even if it's just cuddling in front of a movie, than gaming.

My girlfriend's cool with gaming. She plays 2 or 3 times a week with me on games like L4D (PC split-screen, of course) and she loved Gears of War 1 so much that I bought her Gears of War 2 for her birthday. She loved it!

I'd like her to game more with me, but I think I have it pretty good. If she never stopped gaming I'd never get to myself, but considering she only enjoys playing games if I'm there with her (usually playing with her), I don't think this'll ever happen.

Back when I liked WoW (ugh...) I got her to play it and she liked it. But she doesn't like the usual popular girl games like The Sims etc. She loves shooters. The only reason I played through Halo 3 (ugh...) is because she wanted to.

So yeah, I think I have it pretty good. And I love her, so that makes it even better.
