gaming for girls is no different exept for all the extra help they get online ... or noob moves that would get any guy kicked girls can get away with

gaming with a gf is fun ... i once bet my ex 10 quid she could never nail stage 1 of dmc 3 on dante must die mode while i fingered her XD ... i won ... she kept her money though -_-

also .... i don't think there was any less of a rude way to say that
So how about NOT saying it? Maybe?

Appart from that, I don't get the bullshit double-standards. Or intollerance for that matter. If someone makes a newb mistake, then offer advice to them. How you should act AFTER that depends on their reaction; if they try and learn and do better, keep helping with them and be patient with them. If they ignore/insult you and ignore the advice, get the kick/ban ready.

To my understanding it's basically roleplaying having sex with eachother via an online media such as an Instant Messager, most often applied to two individuals who do not or barely know one another. It's an incredibly petty and shallow act on both both people's parts, as not only are they both being immature and teaspoon-deep, but are also being egregious examples of biased views of different genders on the Internet (or indeed anywhere; namely all those 'lovely' things like treating other people as objects, etc), and give actual individuals whop are worth being referred to as 'a person' on the Internet a bad name.

Yes, I have a strong moral standpoint on the idea, how could you tell?

I like girls, and most males would agree with me. Girls are a fundamental part of life for a guy, else life would be one loooooong football locker room. I get mistaken for a girl all the time, because of (I presume my gamertag is the reason!!) is Pennyy9. Pennyy is my nickname. And so it begins. I cant play because I'm a girl, don't let me have the sniper because I'm a girl. Hey look, she has a BR, you could kill her easy because... you know. This is only when I don't use my mic, but the small times I don't use it bring on a plethora of sexist instances. Half the girls I know are awesome at games, and one of them has one of the top scores in the world at Tetris. Tetris is beast, and so I give a collosal bow to all gamer girls because you make... the gaming world go round? I don't know. Good job.
On warcraft my gnome mage is female and called Kneehigh, the amount of times i get flirted with by desperate guys and mistaken for a girl... girls do get a hard time.

My fiance is really good at Warcraft and better than me at Oblivion. Sex plays no part in how good you are at games

If there is a girl that is good at games, i'm fine with that. If there is a very sexy girl who is good at video games and smart, will you marry me?
I'm sorry, I'm already taken. ;)

As a girl that games, here is my two cents.

1. Yes, there are times that I have been treated badly or kicked right away for being a girl because some men are immature assholes. But as a whole, it doesn't happen that often.

2. In fact, I get more messages after playing a match or whatever asking me if I have a myspace or something. And yes, it happens all the time. Here's my proof (links to a post from my blog):

So, yeah. There are times I am treated differently, and it sucks, but I think most of it is stupid high school kids. I love gaming, and when I get in a group with other people who love it as much as I do I know that there won't be any problems. It won't be about my gender. It will be about winning.
