Give me a stereotype of any genre of music and I will post a song that breaks it.

"ROCK AND ROLL IS THE SOURCE OF ALL THAT IS EVIL, FOR IT IS THE DEVIL SPEAKING HIMSELF!" no i dont believe that stereotype but its hilarious to think thats what we blamed violence on before video games.

OT: i already have heard song that break the stereotype but my personnel one is "Screamo is just a bunch of screaming and wailing away at instrument in no order or fashion to make music."

Well I can't see this going unbroken but oh well:
All rap music is either the artist explaining hardships or how successful/cool they are.
To me, the song is a about a revolutionary going against a system setup like A Brave New World; it could also be interpret as a call to action against said system.

Black metal has no clean sung songs, even songs with clean vocals in them are primarily growl.
Irish Black Metal masters Primordial, black metal with nothing but clean vocals. Sure they are rough, but they are still clean, no growling.

There are only about 4 songs recorded by Jimi Hendrix that end abruptly with a complete finish, 90% of his songs fade out simply because they couldn't get him to stop jamming and put down his guitar.

Norwegian/Swedish Black/Death Metal: I listened to Windir, Cemetary, and Burzum lately and all it was to me was incoherent growing and screaming, fast kick drum work, and texturally-retarded distorted guitars. In other words, complete shit.

The only way to find something that would be "good" is for it to be of an entirely different genre altogether.

Justin Bieber is so terrible, his music is a genre in and of itself.

The genre "Justin Bieber" sucks down poopy juice.
Hey, am I crazy, or is your avatar Benjamin Linus?

OT: I don't think any genre is outright terrible. Not country, not rap, not rock. Well, maybe deathmetal. But you already did that one.

Isnt this more of a personal opinion?

Post Rock has no vocals whatsoever!
Aha, I can do this one.

Oh, how could I forget:

I really love my post-rock.
Btw I love post-rock as well im just trying to find things people might see in this genre and instantly stereotype.

My favorite post rocks bands at the moment are:
Explosions In the Sky, This Will Destroy You, Godspeed You! Black Emperor, Yndi Halda, and Mum!
see there! haha but I think I'm going to like mar and Sigur Ros A LOT!

Hmm i wouldn't really consider the first one post-rock it would fit better in another genre. It is good though I'm enjoying these songs! :D

The second one is really good Very enjoyable!

mm the third one was filled with all sorts of happiness made me smile! really good on that one! xD

wtf! the fourth one was like mum but I don't know a different sort of trip O.O nice.. thanks for the music! I'll be sure to check all of them out!
