Hello Escapists, and thanks for clicking upon this thread.

Allow me to explain the reason for this thread. Recent events in my life have taught me a lot. I can be slow at times, but all I've learnt from the past days is all but priceless. However, I've come to realize that I'm not learning enough things, that I should learn more about life than what I know, instead of merely assuming I already know everything and that I will never need more help. So what I ask of you, Escapists, is help and advice. Of any kind, any sort of tip, hint, well intentioned aid is welcome.

Some of you might be thinking by this point: "Well, why would we want to do that?" or "Why bother? I don't know you". 'Tis very true, but I believe that helping others helps oneself become a better person too, as well as the fact that you'll probably feel better once you've shared your knowledge with the world (No guarantees though, and we won't give your money back).

So, please, dear community, take some time to help me out, yourselves, and anyone else who might stumble upon this thread.

Thanks, and have a good day :)

My advice, see the world any which way you can.

I have never lost faith in this big old earth or we who populate it thanks to the marvellous things I have seen in my travels.

My advice:If you're just given what you need to learn, you won't really learn it.

Okay, well when writing "'tis" at the start of a sentence, there is no need to capitalize the "t", as the "'" is taking the part of a capital "i".

You're welcome...

I'm not sure what you're asking here. You're asking to learn more about a intangible concept. What do you want to learn more about it? Personally, I'm into sociology and psychology and it's allowing me to learn so much about society and human nature. It's also help encourage my...Borderline obsession with obedience and conformity.

Don't eat yellow snow.

If you something happening that's wrong. Try to stop it.

If you see someone in some sort of distress, go and see if they're OK. I once stepped into a busy London road to make sure the fallen cyclist was uninjured.

Any and everything. Whatever it is you wish to share, I'm willing to learn and take in. Simple as that

Well, if you write with a very good grammar, and use words that are not often spoken of, people can get the idea that you're a sensei in everything.

(You'd expect that I'd use special words there, but I'm lazy today)

Follow the yellow brick road.
Pay no Attention to the man behind the Curtain.

Most important: Do what you like.Don't bother, just do it. Grap opportunities by the balls !

There are pieces of the Desiderata that I find to be the best advice.

"As far as possible, without surrender,
be on good terms with all persons.
Speak your truth quietly and clearly;
and listen to others...

Enjoy your achievements as well as your plans.
Keep interested in your own career, however humble;
it is a real possession in the changing fortunes of time.

Be yourself. Especially do not feign affection.

Nurture strength of spirit to shield you in sudden misfortune.
But do not distress yourself with dark imaginings.
Many fears are born of fatigue and loneliness.

With all its sham, drudgery, and broken dreams,
it is still a beautiful world.
Be cheerful. Strive to be happy."

Well, as I said, I'm still confused. The best I could do is try to recommend certain psychological studies to take a quick peak at and see if that appeals to you. I think though, learning about things is half the process though. It helps to discuss. Like, I'm not an expert on politics or philosophy by any means, but I'm always happy to discuss my views on certain aspects.

Try to take a look at Milgram's Obedience Study, Zimbardo's Standford Prison Experiment (there's video footage on Youtube or Google Videos) and maybe look into the program of David Reimer which discusses the ethical and moral boundaries and explores the psychology of sexuality and gender assignment.

Don't ever completely give your heart to another person, even a person who is equally devoted to you and would never abandon you or turn on you. If you do, when that person is brutally taken away from you by the bastard known as Fate, you will have nothing left.

Read books.

Don't wait until you're an adult, or until you find yourself really bored one day and see one lying around and think 'what the hell'; start reading, right now.

There are so many books in this world, it's literally impossible to not find a genre or type of book that you like.

It's satisfying and stimulating and gives you a whole new way to connect to and communicate with people.

Don't be one of those people who talks about how they haven't read a real book since high school with pride in their voice, like it's some sort of accomplishment.

Not sure what you want but ok.
When hiking always be the first one over the style, you'll avoid getting muddy hands.
Also the first one to the top of the hill gets the longest rest.

And to quote Zombieland because rule 36 made that much sense
"Enjoy the little things"

Be crazy once in awhile. Not the chainsaw killer-type crazy, let's not do that. Just try something you normally wouldn't do once or twice. Sort of a Yes Man mentality.
