I live by the phrase "Carpe Diem".
For those who don't know what that means, it simply means Sieze the Day.
If you see an opportunity, take it. You cannot expect life to just give you things, you have to take them.
My most memorable use of the phrase was when I whispered it to myself moments before asking my first girlfriend out. When ever I feel nervous, hearing the words Carpe Diem just remind me that you get nothing for sitting on your ass, go out there and try.
That day was most certainly siezed.
