So every now and then we hear some stat or information on how there is a glass ceiling for women, how women dont hold top jobs in companies, politics etc and that companies basically need to be forced to hire women into these positions to create equality.
But why does no one bring up the glass cellar? The glass cellar where mostly men work, in basically crappy jobs, hard jobs, or dirty jobs. I have never seen a female driving a garbage truck or even a normal truck, ive never seen a female construction worker.
Basically if women are after equality why not start from the bottom and work their way up, fight to get jobs in construction etc first. fight for equality in workplace deaths and injuries.
it just seems that men as a gender are just more extreme, men have the best and worse jobs in the world and women it somewhere in the middle, wishing they also had the top jobs too.
So wha do you think about the glass cellar? should more women focus on the cellar or the ceiling?
