The game runs smooth, plays smooth, and is a blast.
I'm sad that in free-roam, so far, every player character I meet has to shoot me for some reason. I'm content with leaving people alone so I can do some hunting, or clear out some gangs, or something. But no. Every person rides out to shoot me in the face.
Oh well! The game is great!
Actually, you can only unlock and complete some challenges by killing other players, so it's kinda encouraged. You'll be doing it soon enough, I promise you.LordCuthberton said:
Also, It ads a genuine sense of danger to make up for no real death penalties. It helps immersion when I'm out in open country, picking flowers or whatever, when another player comes into range. I get spooked and suspicious and call out, "Friend or foe?" and go from there.
OT: Hour 4 with nary a glitch in sight on mp free roam. ^_^
I'm thinking of getting it but now that you're all moaning about glitches I'm starting to have second thoughts. So are the glitches really bad and is it worth it despite them is what I want to know.
I've had a mission crippling glitch where it just froze after i excuted a certain somebody. Started the game again and loaded it, retried the mission, all went fine.
Thats the only one i've encounter other than some draw distance glitches

I am not against horses, it's the way they have implemented it. You press forward to go forward, if you want to go the fastest you have to tap a button but you can only do it so much or the horse bucks you off.D Bones said:
So your constantly watching this bar go up and down or you can press it once a second (ish) to go at a decent speed without watching the bar. Since it takes about 5 mins to go from town to another it gets very boring and like I said the fast travel option isn't much better.
I have to press start, R1 right, right, x, x, select the place then x again, as opposed to oblivion were you select a place on a map and your there.
i hitched my horse in thieves landing and i kept spazzing around and switching side to side while i was stuck in between the horse and the hitch.
I've played it for many hours and only rarely seen the piano players stand up on their stools when they get up.

Played for a few hours and only encountered one glitch which is pretty minor.
Me and a friend was doing LAN, on his screen a woman was stood still and on mine she was in the sitting position moving around. Oh noes!

I was led to believe that most of the glitches only happen in multiplayer. Sadly this is just one of those problems that such large games have. they are so damn big that it is nearly impossible to test for all the bugs before release. Shy of having a year long beta, there isn't much Rockstar could have done.
Well, my stallion randomly fell over dead for no reason.
