I can safely say from experience that time travel never accomplishes anything. You obviously failed to save them, as they are dead giving you incentive to try and save them.

I would save Hitler from himself. I always disliked how Hilter never had to answer for his crime to the world. Of how when we final reached his door we find that the greatest evil had already took the easy way out and denied the world any retribution.
