Basically if you are a game's journalist, or in the DNF First Access Club are over 21 and won an essay contest, you get to make the first 2 hours of DNF redundant in May.  Still it's a nice marketing stunt. It just feels like something 3D Realms would have done if not for, well, everything.

How is it old? It's happening today. Right this second, there are Pig-cops getting blown up by pipe-bombs in strip clubs, virtual and real. At this moment there are 30 Duke Nukems shooting down an alien mothership with a gun turret. AT THIS POINT IN TIME people are PLAYING the FIRST SIX levels in Duke Nukem Forever! This is a date that would go down in History if people realized that, "Holy shit, it's coming out".
