Wow. Misplaced sarcasm much? Why do you think they started giving Steam codes rather than download links? Why do you think they started to link your Steam account to your Humble Bundle account? The answer may surprise you because it's all linked to piracy and abuse.

People shared download links in forums meaning people who had not paid for the games could download it from their servers. They tried to circumvent this by giving out product keys. That was abused in Steam Holiday events and also third party sites started selling product keys at a profit after hoarding them from the Humble Bundle site. It's fine if you don't want to admit this and say that it's up for discussion if this can be regarded as piracy or not, but I don't think you have any right to be condescending towards anyone about this. Especially considering I found all of this by typing Humble Bundle piracy and clicking search in Google and it was all on the first page of results. In fact if you want a source for this you won't even need to leave this site.

According to this there have been piracy on Humble Bundle games ever since they started and that was before they started demanding a whole dollar for it.

Wow... so people actually want to try a game before they buy it! It's almost like consumers are crying out for a demo or something!

Except they do. Humble Bundles go up on torrents which is especially dickish since you can pay a single penny to get the DRM free ones (and a dollar for Steam keys or for the Steam-only ones). That's not counting the stuff Yopaz covered more in-depth. I mean, I'm a sarcasm fan, but it only works if you're not factually incorrect.

Considering that they said "Please don't buy this at full price, please wait for a $2 sale. :(", it's really not surprising that this happened. :p
Yeah, but thing about piraters are that even if it was $1 they would still pirate it.
Maybe don't generalise so freely. Neither you nor I know the demographic of people who are pirating this game. My feeling is that many are waiting for a good sale, but I don't know, and nobody does.

Have no money or testing really isnt a reason, could say i cant afford a car so might as well steal it.
You can be sure as hell that before I drop 20k+ on a car, I'm going to test drive it. And I'd be extremely suspicious of the dealership that refuses to let me give it a ride.

That may be what you meant, but that's not what you said. You made a condescending remark about how people don't pirate the Humble Bundle games.

Keep that in mind the next time. Rather than saying "Oh, that's why people pirate the Humble Bundle games. Oh, no wait, they don't. You're just being stupid making claims that you can't actually back up with facts, because of this I look down on you." Try saying "Actually, if the Humble Bundle is any clue it seems people are less likely to pirate being offered lower prices." Because if the latter is what you meant, then don't say the former and get upset when people misunderstand you. Because there's no room to wriggle out from the fact that you said people don't pirate the Humble Bundle and it's hard to see the way you chose your words to be anything but condescending.

Look at this post. Deny the fact that you said people don't pirate Humble Bundle games. Explain to me how it's not condescending. Did you or did you not claim people don't pirate Humble Bundle games?

You mean you misspoke, saying something other than what you meant. Because what you said is in line with what we responded with. If you meant that they were turning pirates into legal customers, a connection you haven't actually established, fine. Admit you misspoke, instead of pretending we just don't get it. Because we cannot read your mind, which is the only way we could reasonably interpret:

just like they pirate all the humble bundle games and steam sales. oh, wait, no they dont.
As really meaning:

these two have turned great many pirates into legal costumers because they could now afford said games
Now, prove that they have.

Judging from the screenshots I've seen of the game, I'm beginning to suspect that Goat Simulator may not depict an entirely accurate portrayal of being a goat.
How dare you crush my hopes and dreams of a better life through reincarnation.
