Wow. Misplaced sarcasm much? Why do you think they started giving Steam codes rather than download links? Why do you think they started to link your Steam account to your Humble Bundle account? The answer may surprise you because it's all linked to piracy and abuse.Strazdas said:just like they pirate all the humble bundle games and steam sales. oh, wait, no they dont.
People shared download links in forums meaning people who had not paid for the games could download it from their servers. They tried to circumvent this by giving out product keys. That was abused in Steam Holiday events and also third party sites started selling product keys at a profit after hoarding them from the Humble Bundle site. It's fine if you don't want to admit this and say that it's up for discussion if this can be regarded as piracy or not, but I don't think you have any right to be condescending towards anyone about this. Especially considering I found all of this by typing Humble Bundle piracy and clicking search in Google and it was all on the first page of results. In fact if you want a source for this you won't even need to leave this site.

According to this there have been piracy on Humble Bundle games ever since they started and that was before they started demanding a whole dollar for it.
