I've always had this problem. I hate the maps and gametypes everyone else loves, and love the maps and gametypes everyone else hates. And it makes it very hard to try and get into games with servers, since they get to dictate what is played rather than a MM system randomly deciding to try and keep it fair.
Lets just make a short list, shall we?
Gears of War
They like:
Escalation
Canals
Gridlock
Raven Down
Blood Drive
Execution
I like:
Bullet Marsh
Subway
Hail
Drydock
Mansion
Warzone (the least popular gametype in all 3 gears games)
Battlefield
They like:
Strike at Karkand
Road to Jalalabad
Camp Gibralter
Wake Island
Conquest
I like:
Minsk
Verdun
Iron Gator
Operation Smokescreen
Liberation of Leipzig
Titan
Rush
Rainbow Six
They like:
Killhouse
Killhouse
Killhouse
Villa
Killhouse
Calypso Casino
Team Deathmatch
I like:
Trainyard
Dante's
Theater
Team Survival
Attack and Defend
Etc. etc.
I could go on, but I decided to go with 3 of the most annoying examples for me. And its always pissed me off. I like to pick fair or interesting maps with harder or more varied gametypes, but in games without bots I'm forced into cramped, small, narrow killing fields with mindless gametypes.
I mean really people, is it that bad to have to play on a map or in agametype where you actually have to think?
