OK, here's the story behind this post. I wanted to play fallout 3 since it was announced, drooled over previews, screenshots and reviews, and finally bought a copy a few weeks ago. I sat in school for a week with the game in my desk drawer, rushed home on a leave weekend, put the game in the Xbox, accidently nudged it at CRRAAAAACK! It scratched the disc and virtually tore it apart. I now have to wait three long weeks to get another one, and have to wait until half term. Plus, I got a virus (a real one, not a computer one) and vomited all weekend

So, has something like this ever happened to you (Or am I the only one this galactically unlucky?)

I was playing with one of my cats and decided to see what would happen if I set him on my 360. He decided that was the best place to empty his bladder.

Not to me, but my mate bought (online) Mirror's Edge for 360 and a new 360 controller as he'd broken his. It arrives and turns out to be Mirror's Edge for 360 and a PS3 Controller.

Strangely enough, pretty much the exact same thing happened to me over Christmas. I bought Fallout 3, played it for a little while before it became unplayable (in my case because of a borked 360), and then I got ridiculously sick for like 4 days.

as soon as the gameboy advance came out i remember i was sooo hyped about getting it because i had every game boy before and when i took it out of the box it was in a plastic bag and i thought it was sealed on both sides, so i picked it up by one of the sides and it slipped out of the bag and broke on the floor. No mager damages, it was fixable but i still had to wait to play on it

Well, on inogaration(sp?) day, I found out that a copy of Half Life for the PS2 was ina local game store. So I ran out to buy it and kept running till I got there (which isn't a smart thing to do at night when everything is covered in ice.) I made it there in one piece and bought it for less than $20. I get my older brother to bring the PS2 over and once I pop it in, it doesn't work. I spent over an hour trying to get it to start, but it would never get past the main menu. So I take the game back to the store to either get a new copy or to get it fixed and they wouldn't do nither. So I had to spend another $20 on a new copy of eBay and for a disk fixer/cleaner for the original. The cleaner/fixer didn't work, but I was able to get into the first minute or two of the opening credits.

Still waiting for that new copy to get here.

When I found out (after I had sold off my original Xbox) that my Xbox Original games were NTSC and my Xbox 360 was a PAL system. No backwards compatibility for me.

Having my second 360 get the E74 hardware failure literally a week after I got it. It was gotten to replace my first one which lasted 6 months before coming down with the RRoD.

Thank God there's protection in place to shield Microsoft from filthy, filthy importers/Europeans like yourself. Buying a game and expecting it to work. Where the hell do we think we live? Mussolini's Italy?

Filthy.

Ha seven day weekend for me!
Why am I the ONLY one who gets no time off for snow. Its just mean...

Here's one. FF7 save file, everything but Golden Chocobo to do in the way of sidequests, and my brother says, 'Can I play?' I say sure. He starts up a game, gets into the reactor, blah blah, I go off to the loo, he says 'I saved it, but I don't really like this game.' You'll NEVER guess in which slot he saved it.

ARGGGGGGGGHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH!!!!!!!!!, was my response.

This will never happen again, I do two saves of my games now, one at the top, and one at the absolute bottom slot. NEVER AGAIN.

My sisters cat once tipped down my wall-mounted TV (small 10-incher or so) and it fell on my FFVIII game box. I was just about to finish it, had done all side quests, and guess which was the ONLY disc that shattered? Yep, the last one.
Had to wait for ages for a replacement.

I was playing dead rising and I was trying to get that 7 day survivor achievement. I had food ready and I was all holed up in Carlito's hideout when all of the sudden the xbox froze. I have never been that angry in my life.
