Well, there's Impulse, but their selection is skewed towards strategy games made by smaller developers. Not that they don't have new games in other genres, but they're slow to get them, and their sales aren't as good as Steam sales. However, the service is DRM free.GiantRaven said:gog.com - DRM Free. Steam - Essentially a glorified DRM service. All games are tied to Steam. Does not imply ownership of a game.
Let's just say I'm not quite ready to get in on the whole glorified licensing trend that's going around right now. The prices might be great but for me personally, that doesn't make want to use a service where I don't feel like I actually own what I pay for.
