Going Gonzo!

Well lately ive noticed that there are alot of members here who have "Gone Gonzo" and its a fairly simple question im posing.

How did you go GONZO, how long have u been a forum goer, how many hours do you spend per day on the forum, do you do long posts and deep discussion or just casual conversation?

tell me how u guys went gonzo!

Simply put. It just means that they have made over 1000 posts.

From what I understand you get it if you exceed 1000 posts. What it means remains a mysterey to me though.

A majority of my free time (and trust me, there is a lot(two word) of it) is spent here. It took a couple of months to "Go Gonzo". I don't really have deep, wall-o-text posts, my posts a very "to the point".

What? Those posts were very "to the point". I don't what that point was, but they were very "to it".

I spend about 2 hours a night on here, just as something to do while watching TV. I;ve had my account for a year nearly, but only just really started going on it.

like as is im spending what i would approximate to be 3 hours a day or so just going around posting, but at the same time im not JUST posting, im on maplestory (private servers) doing GM work, ummm really practicing my bass, since my friend are wanting to start up a band, but yeah, when it starts to get really hot i just put on some music and float around. I just kinda wanted to know what i can expect to be in for in terms of experiences in order to attempt to go Gonzo, or should i just not care so much and let it happen?

mine is much the same, i came here for yahtzee and found out there was something better, a great forum, but i only started using it just recently, never had enough time.

Going Gonzo isn't all it's cracked up to be, absolutely nothing changes. So, don't let it bug you, if you avoid the "perma-ban" your time will come.

I'm not gonzo yet but I'll probably hit a thousand posts sometime by the end of November or early December, but lets just assume I already have 1000 posts.

I'll admit most of my posts may be attributed to the forum game section, but I also would like to think that the majority of my posts have some modicum of depth behind them, and that I contribute to the different discussions that have cropped up in the various forums on this site since I joined back in September.

[sup]and if you think getting 1000 posts in a matter of months is bad, on another forum I reached 1000 posts in 17 days after I joined.[/sup]

I can certainly assure you that you won't be getting it without a notable imrovement in thread creation, writing style & content therein.
Gone Gonzo is the post rank >1000, like how Anonymous Resource is <10.

I went Gonzo quite fast, but I don't think I cheated or anything... I just spend more time than is healthy on these boards. No joke, I need to be asleep, it's 4 : 10 in the morning, but instead I'm on here posting away.

That explains quite a lot.
