One tidbit that applies to high school, college, and beyond: Anything you say can and will be used against you. Guard yourself, and don't assume that anyone is completely trustworthy. It'll only come back to stab you in the ass.
Other than that, though, it's really not so horrific. I wasn't much of a fan, but then that was mostly because I'm a fairly cruel individual, and ended up alienating a lot of people. So, uh...don't be me either

So far high school isn't so bad for me. I've never seen any bullies at my school as of yet and I'm about to enter Junior year.
Coolest thing my friends have done so far is install Halo on the computers. Every time we were done with work in my Applications class we would duke it out for the remainder of the period. Eventually some other people in the class started camping, so we called them out and won the next match. Then they insulted us, stating that we "had no life".
Imagine meeting every squeaker on Xbox LIVE and figuratively punching them in the face. It felt awesome.

For me, High school itself was largely uneventful. It was behind the scenes where shit went down.
IE, me being all depressed and refusing to go because I'm a little crybaby and doing homeschooling.
But then again, that doesn't happen to everyone.

Yep. They didn't want me to stay in the public school system (or any school system for that matter) and homeschooled me...for a little while at least, then I just started studying on my own time.marter said:

I didn't socialize, had a negative outlook on most everything done, and took a truckload of AP classes because I could.
It took me 3 years to realize I hated my life, and that high school was a period that I just wanted to end... But this isn't true for everyone. Just try to have fun, and you will have fun. That is a guarantee. Try to be miserable and you will be very, very miserable.

I wouldn't say you're wasting your life. I'm sure there are plenty of things I may have missed out on because of my leave of school, but I will admit I have gained far more intelligence than I ever would have in school.marter said:

Well, I'm graduating from a Christian school, so I have no horror stories to speak of (other then being abused by the internet for admitting to going to a Christian school). Just keep out of the crowds that you don't want to get mixed with, and you'll be fine.narwhalman218 said:
