Evenin' ladies and gents. Please hear my ramblings and offer your opinions.

So I was at the pool the other day, and I started thinking about something. I've been to several pools during this short life o' mine, and they always employ a female janitor who cleans the showers during the open hours. For me, this is how it's always been, and I've never seen anyone get embarrassed about it. None of the dudes cover themselves up or anything. It's not like those ladies ever stare or anything. They clean the showers and then they leave. Simple and clean, no problem, right?

But this got me thinking, it's a big world out there. I assume this isn't the norm everywhere. Would you get embarrassed if you were in the showers at the local pool hall and a janitor of the opposite sex came to clean up? Or if you found yourself in a mixed sauna or some similar establishment? Would you ladies consider it appropriate to hire janitors of both sexes to clean the showers separately, or would you mind a male janitor barging into the showers?

And I swear, I'm not drunk as I write this. ;D Just wondering.

never seen that happen in oz personally. i'd say the norm would be cleaning after hours and on the odd occasion there is some sort of clean up emergency they would either shut the bathroom or get a same sex employee in there.

would it bother me? yeah it prolly would, having been ogled but female medical practitioners before i find it fairly uncomfortable and even if she could somehow (not sure how) resist the temptation to have a sneaky peek i just dont think its appropriate.

just for reference i'm not particularly shy about my body and prolly wouldn't hesitate to get my junk out at a nude beach but something about me having my dick swinging in the breeze while someone goes about their daily chores seems wrong

Pool Halls have showers? I'm guessing your pool halls are not the same as what I think of pool halls as?

OT: Never experienced this in person, as I dont really swim. I wouldnt object in principle if a lady cleaner came in whilst I was having a shower. I mean it would have to be a very odd set of circumstances where I found myself swimming in the first place, so the appearance of a woman cleaning the showers probably wouldn't faze me much more.

Im not exactly the most confident guy in the world as far as my body is concerned but I've got nothing to be ashamed of - it would be a rather odd experience though I feel. Having said that, I'm probably never gonna see this cleaner again anyway, so overall I'd say whilst it might be a little strange, I certainly wouldnt freak out, I'd take it in my stride.

Considering I've done some saunaing in the past, and it was a free for all place, no gender separation, I had no problem with it at all. I also had no problem with not everyone looking as good as me around there. It's just...you know, you go there for your own business and don't give two fucks about anyone else's and it's all well and good.

So yeah, random strangers have seen me naked. And it's not the end of the world.

That sounds like the lead in to a bad movie.

For some reason Sean Connery winking just creeps the hell out of me...

Anyway, as far as I know here in Australia they are usually pretty strict in making sure that only janitors of the same sex go into bathrooms(unless it's after hours), so it's something I've never had to deal with. Seeing as it is something I've never experienced, then yeah, it would make me somewhat uncomfortable.

I go to a pool every week, sometimes more often.
I've never seen a janitor in one of the changing rooms or the showers during operating hours.

So I'd say your situation is (at least for here) quite out of the norm.

It was my understanding that janitors are only supposed to go in there when they're not in use but in your case... I'd be pretty uncomfortable but I don't like being naked in public, period.

Only a few people are allowed to see me naked; my doctor and girlfriend... suppose my parents but after you're an adult there is no reason for your parents to ever see you naked again lol.
