I've been thinking... Goldeneye (the original on the N64) couldn't be re-released on XBLA due to the rights being partially owned by Nintendo, and also Rare (now owned by Microsoft).
But I was thinking. Some years back, Viva Pinata: Pocket Paradise was released on the DS, despite being a franchise of Microsoft. So does anyone else out there think it's possible Goldeneye could be immortalised on the 3DS?
Not only that, I think that would be the perfect console for it. Seeing as the 3DS only has one analog, and trying to move with your left hand whilst aim using the touch screen with your right is a pain in the arse (anyone who's played Metroid Hunters knows what I'm talking about), the auto-aim feature on Goldeneye would be perfect for the system.
The 3DS also happens to be great for multiplayer, both local and online. And handhelds are generally popular with fans of games from the 32-64bit era.
Does anyone else agree?
