As far as change, the only real thing that's different now is my addiction, which is full blown now.
Holy crap, I've been gone for like 2 months or so and you get over 7,000 posts. That is truly shocking (in both the good and bad way).
Yeah...no social life and ADHD medicine making you focus on something, combined with the obsessive factor of Aspergers will really do wonders for ya...
And I do love shocking people ^_^

I first joined in 2007, 2007 can you fucking believe that? I think there are only around five people who joined in 2007 sill posting, at least that I can think of. I joined at the end of 07 though so you had might as well call me one of the early 08 crowd. There might be more from 07 but hell if I know them. I can't think of anyone who joined in 2006 that still posts, not including the staff obviously. I've noticed a lot of change on these forums but none of that's really important.

Congratulations on making it to 1000 posts, although to be honest it's hardly something to get excited about. Still, if you hang around long enough you'll be one of the few people that joined in 08. Soon, maybe, people who joined in 09 will be rare. Than maybe 2010 joiners will be rare. It's interesting to see who is getting filtered out by the moderation team and who just plain leaves. It's interesting to visit old threads and see users that I haven't seen in a long time and will never see again. When I remember the thread it does get quite Deja Vu-y, kind of like watching a family video that you haven't seen in a long time. So then Original Poster, look forward to that stuff. It's both a gift and a curse to have been here for awhile.

My first post was something about the Wii controllers. As with all of my first thousand posts it was poorly crafted and nothing very special. No doubt that in the future I will look back on this post and feel the same thing.

My 1111th post was the one that got me the Regular badge. Beat that.
My first post was in one of the "intellectual debate" threads which were basically Eggo spouting shit and everyone else calling him an idiot. It was about feminism. I had a massive rant.

I can't remember my first post. I started out here as more of a lurker anyway and decided to make an account for the hell of it but I post much after making the account either.

Looking back I regret not posting as much as I do now, I'm sure i've missed out on some pretty cool threads.

Sorry to hear that man, I guess at the end of the day the more popular you are on this forum, The more people will try and target you, You can get away with just about anything in your first 100 posts but once you've been here for a year, Things change. Look at how Indigo Dingo was banned as with all the others, It's truly a shame, I don't plan on stopping till I hit the "101194" threshold and I'll stop, Because by then, It will be 2010, and I'll be to caught up with life, Happened to the best of us. You can look at Hey Joe! to learn that much. I hope you continue to post here man, the newcomers need elders to watch over them. 2008 might just go extinct like the 2006's and 2007's.

what was your first post? What where you like when you joined and how are you now? For the people who have just joined or lurking, what made you join the escapist?
First post: This [http://www.escapistmagazine.com/forums/read/9.115901#2176544] one. For those who don't want to click it was about wanting a new Killer Instinct game.

Have I changed since I joined: No. I've always been kind of a grammar Nazi (with a badge to prove it) and just a little bit random.

What made me join: The Webby badge was handed out but even though I voted for the Escapist I wasn't yet a member. So I joined up to see if I could entice the Escapist staff to award me the badge as well. I couldn't persuade them.

I also have "went Gonzo" today. I just didn't think it warranted the creation of a thread.

Personally I don't want to change over to "On the Record" I quite like being a Gonzo. I'll keep posting until I do flip over of course, but Gonzo will always hold a special place in my heart.

Glad to see you've "Gone Gonzo". I haven't been here incredibly long, but I always remembered you as "the guy with the Timmy avatar". I only hope that when I've gone gonzo, someone will remember me with the same level of endearment.

Edit: Oh, and I guess now is as good a time as ever to change my avatar for the Foo Fighters Greatest Hits release. I'll probably change it back eventually, but for now it's kind of nice to finally have something new.

My first post was when I was wondering if Guild Wars 2 seemed to be ripping off WoW. I decided it wasn't, but Guild Wars did have Chocobos...

It is indeed.
But there are lots of us who have not been kicked out.
So that's good.

1) Yea, I sweezed a tear down my face for games for various reasons, weather its for the amount of time I have spent on a game, or being conected to a character that died.

2) Its sure as hell okay to cry, its called being human

Ohh and Hi everyone
