Ender's Game. this is an amazing book. just check it out from a library and just read like at least the first few chapters. i absolutely love the Ender books. this is the only series i'll read all books including spin offs and novellas because it's just so good. i haven't read any other Orson Scott Card books, but because of how well he did the Ender books, i feel that you may also want to take a look at some of his other books

Dude it would be impoosible to do, but if it works you would be a god among your friends if you turned these books into puppet shows:
A Clockwork Orange by Anthony Burgess
Tropic of Cancer by Henry Miller
Fear and Loathing in Las Vegas by Hunter S. Thompson
fuckin anything by Chuck Palahniuk (i.e. Fight Club, Lullaby, Pygmy)
better yet, The Things They Carried by Tim O' brien

. . . A Puppet show? Really? Wish I went to that school.

Maybe "Farenhight 451" or Do "Androids Dream Of Electric Sheep?"

Something by Franz Kafka or Camus. "Meditations on emptyness/meaningless of existence... in Puppet form!"
Vladimir Nabokov's Lolita! Y'know, something for the kids
How about the Road by Cormac McCarthy, the books not too difficult and the puppet show would consist almost exclusively of two characters walking along

If you really want to impress your teacher, try something like...
Ulysses by James Joyce
the Satanic Verses/Midnights Children by Salman Rushdi
120 Days of Sodom by the Marquis de Sade
Atlas Shrugged by Ayn Rand

In fact, if you do those successfully, fuck impressing your teacher, you could take that shit on the road.

catch 22 its kind of long but it aint bad... plus you could make some really funny scenes using puppets
Sock puppet military parade, ie. a lot of hands with green socks on and have one bare hand. Fried Gold!

If Animal Farm is advanced, I don't really know, but things that could make good/simple puppets shows are, The Fixer by Bernard Malamud, The Metamorphosis by Franz Kafka, and The Defense by Vladmir Nabokov, but if Animal farm is advanced...

The Book Thief by Markus Zusak.

It's classified as young adult fiction, but wasn't intended to be by the author. It's highly acclaimed, with a deep narrative, great characters, and is an easy read.

And you would not want to do The Road as a puppet show. Unless you think decapitated babies on skewers makes for good school puppeteering.

Not sure how well it'd work as a puppet show, but I'm gonna go ahead and recommend Skulduggery Pleasant anyway.
Might be one or two fight scenes in there that could work. If you enjoy making puppet "run around", the vampire part would be good.

Heck, even if you find a better book for a puppet show, give the Skulduggery Pleasant books a go.
You won't regret it!

Halo: The Fall of Reach. It would be tough, but if you pull it off it would be awesome.

Really good book, by the way. Halo has a very good story and a fascinating expanded universe, and this book makes both even better.

I can't recommend a book that is both good and possible to be made into a puppet show.
QFT. Everything I read is either too explicitly violent or sexual (Kushiel's Legacy. Get your heads out of the gutters) to be made into a puppet show.

I do very highly recommend the Kushiel's Legacy series, but it's definitely rated M.
