Good care package ideas?

So, with my uncle being in Iraq, my mom likes to send him snacks and various items to make his stay more pleasant.

So, my question to you guys is: What are some things that would go well in a care package?

I've sent him some comics already, but I can't think of anything else.

He really liked the comics, and I'm thinking video games would be good, but my mom really doesn't want me spending too much.
He's a runner, and enjoys working out.
There's also his sense of humor. He loves to laugh, so some funny stuff might be nice for him.
If you know of any good posters, I bet he'd like to make the his box quarters more homey.

I would say something from the carepackages in Call of Duty. But I doubt you could afford to send him a gunship.

In all seriousness, I have no clue. Never been good at gifts.

Buy a not too expensive MP3 player and load it with a genre of music he likes. This is what we gave to my cousin when he was in Afghanistan.

Does he have hardline pro? If he does, he can just change the gift if he doesn't like what you give him.

That's a good idea. He does have internet access, but I bet he'd appreciate the sentiment.
Also, internet speed is really slow on the base (he couldn't even see us when we skyped on Thanksgiving)

Well, I'm assuming that you already know what to get him, as far as things he likes personally.
But other than that, I used to work at a dollar store, and lots of people came in to buy stuff for military care packages, so you might want to just wander around one of those to get ideas.

The things people bought the most of:
Chapstick, hand lotion, moist towelettes, books of cross word puzzles/sudoku/etc., any kind of candy that won't melt
