Hey guys, I was wondering if you'd be able to recommend some really good 360 games that have good co-op (not online) for me and my girlfriend to play, preferably not FPS games, I'm fucking bored of them and I'm not really into modern ones.

Anyways, much appreciated :)

Co-op? Halo Reach is good(since it's only 2 of you), otherwise I don't really know of any. Oh Fable 2 I guess, but that's not a good co-op game. Army of Two, Splinter Cell. MW2 has some fun co-op, but I'm unsure if you can do that on the same xbox. Sports games.

Splinter Cell: Conviction and Saints Row 2. SR2 is probably the most fun I've had co op in a long, long time.

Here's a link to the wikipedia page that has a list of co-op games:

Gears of War is a 3rd person shooter, so that may be just more of the same that you said you didn't want. Fable II can be pretty fun and it can be played locally. Guitar Hero and Rock Band titles are also fun. the Marvel Alliance games are good fun, especially if you like comic book heroes and there are a lot of choices for which characters to play. Most on the list are shooters, so you'll have to decide if you want to try those or not. Hope this helps.

Castle Crashers is without doubt the best co-op game on 360.

Co-op is something of a dying trend, unfortunately, and usually they're found in FPSs. Not only that, but those are also usually the funnest. I'd recommend Splinter Cell: Conviction, but I actually preferred the slower, more methodical nature of Splinter Cell Chaos Theory's co-op alot more. It's an original xbox title, but if you find a copy, you might find some awesome times come with it. Also, Earth Defense Force 2017 is a simple, fun, and insanely deluded little title that more or less serves as the gaming equivalent of B-grade cinema. It's you and a buddy guuning down giant ants, spiders, and robots with big guns. There's also Resident Evil 5, which is actually much better when played with a buddy. Co-op on Mercenaries mode is quite fun, as well.

Anyway, those are the ones I can think of off the top of my head. Anyone else got anymore?

Viva Pinata: Trouble in Paradise has a co-op mode. If you're into a slower, less action-packed game and bright, colourful visuals don't bother you, that could be good.

I really liked the first game (however it doesn't have co-op). And I'm usually into shooters and action games. Give it try.

If you like long great story games and don't bother it being a (J)RPG then go for Tales of Vesperia. My friend played it and we played co-op Tales of Symphonia which is the sister game of Vesperia for the Wii and we both enjoyed it very much and he said he thought Vesperia (360) was better than Symphonia (Wii).

He said he can't get XBLA games so I'd recommend Gears of War 1 or 2 or Halo.

Tales of Vesperia has great co-op,as long as you guys like JRPGs.It's really fun even if you don't care for JRPGS.

There's always the Lego Star Wars games (and maybe other Lego ones). On the plus side they're pretty cheap these days and have quite a lot of content, but a negative is they get dull fast unless you are happy doing the same thing over and over.

Fable 2 could be fun on split screen - I haven't played it much so wouldn't know.

If you would relax the no-FPS constraint, the Rainbow 6 Vegas games can be a lot of fun coop. Especially if you both have different roles in FPS - such as a distance player and a close-quarters player.

Splinter cell conviction.

Army of two, both of them.

halo?
Seconded, Splinter Cell's is short, but satisfying.

Also maybe Modern Warfare 2, Special Ops can be fun for along trying to get all stars. And World at War, defending yourself from waves of brain-hungry undead SS soldiers.

You're spoilt for choice! Resident Evil 5, Gears of War 1 and 2, Splinter Cell: Conviction and the Left 4 Dead games. I actually enjoyed Boarderlands as well.

Try Tales of Vesperia.

It's a JRPG, and even though the second player can only play during combat. It's still a blast to play with your girlfriend.
At least, with mine.
