I want to hear about times when you thought you were doing right by someone out of the goodness of your heart, only to be chided for it and not thanked.
I reported a blog - a very, VERY racist and hateful blog - and it got shut down. Now I know these things pop up everywhere, but it made me feel a little bit good that one simple e-mail to Wordpress had finished at least this three-year campaign of hatred against anyone who isn't white or even English on the internet.
So what happens? I get a barrage of messages from my friends - people who had banned this guy from their forums and websites for trolling them and being racist - asking WHY I did it. Apparently their self esteem is so low they wanted to 'spy' on this guy to see what he said about them - which was never anything more interesting than 'fuck them all, bunch of idiots' type of posts.
Have you ever had anything similar? Helped an old lady cross the street only to tell you to stop being so presumptuous etc? I want to hear it!
