Think Shirley Bassey, meets Gorillaz, meets David Lynch, and you wouldn't be too far off.

Great vintage Trip-Hop from Bristol, and their live performance in New York in 97, is considered to be up there with Nirvana's unplugged in terms of legendary live performances.

Check these out from that same performance, seriously this stuff is musical gold dust.

One of their most well known songs, been used in car adverts quite a bit.


The breakdown in the middle gets me every time.


Epic just Epic, and the guy dancing is a legend.


Beth Gibbons sounds so evil and creepy in this song.


Definitely one of the most saddest songs ever made.

Also, it's not a Portishead song without some good ol fashion scratching, that's why i'm not huge on their new stuff.
