I remember being pretty impressed with Rachael Townsend from Binary Domain. The team's resident shotgun and rocket launcher specialist. She looked more or less like what you'd expect for an elite soldier in that kind of role. Big, clearly capable of taking on the more physically demanding roles, and not particularly attractive.

All these posts and no one said Pre-Muck Up Amanda Waller [http://img3.wikia.nocookie.net/__cb20110427032911/marvel_dc/images/e/e9/Amanda_Waller_0008.jpg].

She was intimidating. Gods floating around a giant space station were afraid of her. She was a good guy who played bad because it was necessary.

This her talking to Batman. [http://static02.mediaite.com/themarysue/uploads/2011/09/AmandaWaller.jpeg]

Then DC Halle Berry [http://www.scifinow.co.uk/wp-content/uploads/2013/09/Amanda_Waller_Prime_Earth_005.jpg]'ed her.

Official thought is they did that so she could take a more 'active' role in the Suicide Squad. I don't know about that. She's been known take up arms before [http://i383.photobucket.com/albums/oo271/queenursulalj/suicidesquad/SuicideSquad34-1.png].

I think DC saw the ass kicking that was coming with the Avengers as Thor, Iron Man, and Captain America KILLED it in theaters in 2011 (the time of Waller's redesign) and started to put things into place with the Justice League concept.

Only who would want to see a woman that looked like Waller stand up to the Gods of the DC universe?

... Well, everyone. Waller was bad ass. But hey, how could they know that? Wasn't like Waller had fans or anything [https://www.google.com/search?q=hate+over+amanda+waller%27s+redesign&oq=hate+over+amanda+waller%27s+redesign&aqs=chrome..69i57.7519j0j4&sourceid=chrome&es_sm=93&ie=UTF-8]...

Lizzie from Ramapage

From Ratchet & Clank:
Big Al and Bob's Sister Edwina
Unless you got a thing for gender swapped C3PO & pop music Courtney Gears
Talwyn Apogee from Future:Tools of Destruction
Angela Cross same species as Ratchet and made her intro in the game as a sort of Vader-like villian
Helga Von Steissenburger who was Quark's trainer and friend, and a big robotic german woman
Captain Sasha Phyronix who evetually became the Mayor of Metropolis by the next game

Im going to count the Xenomorphs based on how there basically collossal space ants and most ants are 99% female, but if im wrong about that then disregard

On that note there was that Tweet by Sigourney Weaver about 'More females video game characters' and i dont want to call Sigourney unattractive [...except in Galaxy Quest even thoughs its been 2 decades since Alien so she ages very well] but Ripley's character was in *quick google search* at least 6 of all the Alien's licensed games and i am counting the several variations of Aliens3 since they were all different versions

Heather from Silent Hill [Objective opinion]

Resident Evil 2 when you play as Sherry Birken

I know theres little girl characters in the "Tales Of " Series of games

Does GLaDOS count? Cause, if so, she definitely belongs on this list. Her body type is [i/]definitely[/i] not like a normal woman, considering it's basically a mechanical scrap heap. Granted, she's a computer, and so is theoretically genderless. But she has a female voice, and

[spoiler/]Her personality is built off of Cave Johnson's assistant Caroline (I think it was implied that she was put into the computer).[/spoiler]

I don't think Christine is ugly. In fact I find bald women to be very attractive.

Doctor Chakwas from the ME series comes to mind. While I would not call her attractive she has an older age type of beauty to her. Her body shape doesn't seem that unique. She is one of my favorite characters from the ME series and I would love to see a comic or book spin-off with her as the main character.

I was focusing less on her being bald and more, you know, the horrific scars.

100% yes, I think she is my favorite DC character. She takes no bullshit from anyone and will threated some of DC's hardened criminals. Damnit I love Suicide Squad. It really is hard to enjoy the New 52 stuff when they dicked with her design like that. I mean it's not like the Ultimate Avengers (a spin off) where they designed Fury to look like Samuel L Jackson on purpose.

I find scars on women to be really attractive too.

Count me in with this. I don't read comics (unless you count manga), but I did watch the DCAU. Amanda Waller was a great character, not afraid to stand up to anybody. Despite being an antagonist to the Justice League for most of her appearances in the cartoon she had good intentions, which lent her an interesting dynamic.

I particularly loved how her and the entire Cadmus arc really injected politics into the show without it being boring or stupid like, say, the Star Wars prequels were about politics. Speaking of which, those movies made people think injecting politics into action centered media was the cause of bad quality. NO! You can have politics be entertaining! NOOOO! Don't boycott politics in action centered media! Don't dumb it down to just flashy fights! You don't know what you're saying! I like well written politics! http://www.nooooooooooooooo.com/

Lisa. Full Stop.

Did someone say Kreia?

Certainly not attractive, considering she's old. I don't feel like going in-depth but she has certainly made Star Wars a lot more interesting.

Id say Clementine from TWD since shes still a teenager and isnt over sexualised.
Clementine is a child..
By the end of Season 2 she's still 11 years old, so basically she's still too young for someone to consider her attractive unless they are perverts.
That's the point of the campfire scene, sure you can drink but that's not the important bit, when Luke, Mike & Bonnie are talking about sex you have the option to say "I know what you're talking about", Bonnie will reply "I hope not" and Clementine replies with "You're talking about kissing stuff" then everyone laughs, in any case the point of that scene is to show that even though she's matured a lot due to the conditions she's had to live in she's still too young and kind off innocent, though that varies depending on how the player has acted up to this point, furthermore if you choose the Kenny ending, even though Clementine has acted rather mature and normally provided some kind of rationality to her arguments thus far, if you choose to leave with Kenny all she does is cry and say that they are leaving together, you know like a child would, rather than a person making a rational decision.
In any case since she is a child it would be pretty messed up if she was sexualized.

I should probably explain what I mean by body types a bit more. I can't help but find that there's a lot of female characters that tend to be built like supermodels out there, regardless of how much sense it makes, so I thought it'd be nice to appreciate the ones that break out of the mold. Female characters that are more muscular, fatter, bigger, shorter, smaller, thinner, anything that doesn't fall within sterotypical super model range. I think a good example of this is a character that has been introduced into the TF2 comics. Heavy's sister Zhanna
http://38.media.tumblr.com/38995261cf3c706a8941068d4620e2ee/tumblr_ncu7ebyoAP1s2bm9fo4_500.png
Here you can see Spy, Zhanna, and another spy
HECK. YES.

Cos you know, most of the time when I complain about female characters, it's really just me being a selfish a-hole. It's because I'm BORED seeing the same kinds of character designs over and over and over again. Zhanna is a PERFECT example example of a character who, despite being attractive, doesn't radiate that as her primary trait. She's more intimitating than that, that's the first thing that comes to mind about her. She's gorgeous, but there's no way in hell I'd want to hit on her, because I know she could crush me into a pile of stroganoff.

And on that note, I find it amusing how TF2 is one of the most "pro-women" comic series I've stumbled into. TF2, the game about a team of guys blowing each other off. Cos if you think about it, not only does it have Zhanna, but it also has the Administrator and Miss Pauling who are the ones pulling all the strings while most of the male characters are either A) Their underlings B) Idiotic brutes C) Both.

Oh God, I have such a crush for Chakwas. I have no idea what it is about that woman, but I wanted to romance her so much.

I. would. do. things. with. that. woman.

I'm not exactly a big fan of the re-design of Amanda Waller, but it kind of makes sense in the context of all the other changes in the New 52. I get Waller can handle herself in a pinch, but she doesn't exactly have the body or age to really do any real "field work", so to make her more of an active participant I can see why they decided to make her a tad younger and fitter. That was pretty much one of the main ideas behind the New 52 reboot actually, to make all the heroes a tad younger and rollback the DCU's odometer. Again, C.C.H. Pounder will always be "The Wall" in my eyes, I just understand why they made the choice. Hopefully they'll start leading towards a look similar to what they had in Arkham Origins, which basically looked like a younger version of the original Waller rather than a Halle Barry look alike.
I can see your point.. and then I can't and I rather not want to. Summo Hung is a great example of a person who moves literally like a freaking ninja (even though he's Chinese) and is still what's considered heavy. The Kingpin is known to be all muscle. Granny Goodness, The Penguin, Tobias Whale, Doctor Octopus... Amanda Waller made Gods fear in spite of her stature. That's what made her so damn appealing. She wasn't anything to look at, and she delivered wholesale terror among those she deemed worthy. She made it happen because of her. And the fact that she was 'below average' made her capabilities even more frightening.

Now. Average really hot lady. It's gotten to the point that a beautiful woman is BORING now. Give me 'the Wall' any day.
