Good Films/T.V. shows that had terrible endings

but thats the point, it tries to leave no closure or no hero of the movie that is somehow invincible and can escape a trained killer (although the hero was in the military), in the end the hero dies. it tries to reflect real life in the fact that there wouldn't be any closure.Aginor27 post=18.69868.673574 said:

To go for a lesser known show, a little program on the Sci-Fi channel called Jake 2.0 had a rather poor ending, due to the show getting canceled because of low ratings. Course, with only 12 episodes shown (four more were filmed and later syndicated), it's kinda hard to get high ratings, but that's a different story.
In Bruges was an awesome film, although it did leave you on a cliffhanger that it never tells you if he lives or dies....

Carnivale. Season 1 was excellent. HBO says wrap it up by the end of Season 2, so things were sped up, stuff got dropped to make room to move the main plot. Right before the series ends, HBO says, "hey, this is doing great, let's stretch it out for more seasons". And thus was born the ending that became 'not really an ending'. Then they changed their minds again and left it cancelled.
It's funny you mentioned SG-1. After Farscape's cancellation, Ben Browder and Claudia Black were out of a job and both joined the cast of SG-1 in the later seasons. I haven't seen much of the show though, so I can't pass judgement on it.
Also, Jericho was a show with a really cool premise but, of course, was cancelled, like Farscape, with a cliffhanger ending. At least the fans got the creators of the show to do a short second season to sort of wrap things up.

i know its a bit obvious but the Sopranos.cuts to black at a completly random moment and i know im not the only one who was annoyed by that move.
Heroes Season 2. I mean, I love Heroes, but considering we spent a good few episodes building up this "virus" thing I sort of expeced something to.. well, happen.
I felt the ending of "Narnia: Prince Caspian" was very anti-climactic.
Really, I reserve all hatred for Fox for canceling good shows that I enjoy *cough* Firefly *cough*. It's only made worse by the fact that there's never any closure. The last episode never really wraps things up and you're left wondering what happens. While "Drive" wasn't exactly spectacular, I was very put out when they canceled "The Inside" and "Wonderfalls".

The last series of Alias was a joke. It was pretty competant up until that whole clone thing and the black chick who was also some preposterous plot point.
