Good FPS and Strategy DS games

So I've had 3 DS's since it came out (they have a funny habit of breaking :\) and I've been building up a pretty healthy library of games for it. I love the flexibility of the system, but I'm having a hard time finding games in my two favorite Genres, First person Shooters and Strategy games.

For strategy games I already own
1: every Advance Wars game (one of my favorite series of all time)
2: A couple of the Fire Emblem games on the GBA (cant find the DS ones for some reason)
3: Age of Empires: Age of Kings

I know there have to be more but I'm having a rough time finding more GOOD games

For shooting games, I have literally nothing. I've looked into the new Goldeneye game, but other than that I havent heard of much that looks very good. I do have Metroid Prime: Hunters, but thats more of an adventure platformer, and I'm not a big metroid fan to begin with.

TL;DR I'm trying to find awesome Strategy and Shooting games on the DS, looking for recommendations. I dont mind a little genre mixing (like the RPG/Strategy that Fire Emblem does so well) But I would like them to stay as true to those main two genres as possible.

Plus you can just talk about your favorite Strategy and FPS DS games while you're in here, I'd love to learn as much about these games as possible before I go to buy one.

I would've suggested Metroid Prime: Hunters because doing the multiplayer with your friends on it is so much fun.

So, I've got nothing. I didn't know that goldeneye was for DS too, I may look into that.

Black Ops is alright on DS, although the fact that it has unlimited throwing knives which is pretty game breaking.

There are FPS games on the DS?

This times a thousand is what I've been encountering at game stores. I know they HAVE to exist, its just i cant find one to save my life.

I've looked at the COD games, but they look kind of garbage. I've searched review sites and cant find anything rated very high thats a shooter.

As for strategy, I know there HAVE To be more, because I've heard of them. There was a world war II one, but I cant find it anywhere.

Dementium is a fairly good horror FPS for the DS, the same people made "Moon" which is an FPS in space if it's more to your liking than horror.

I'm up for just about anything, I just want something where its shooting and isnt horribly broken.

I'm surprised almost nobody is mentioning strategy games, I thought they had a fairly steady following on the DS...

Every Call of Duty except Blops because I haven't played it yet.
Moon is pretty good as well.

For Strategy, you could do a lot worse then Disgaea DS, (although I am not sure whether that is an RPG or strategy, maybe both?), but yeah, it is very fun and very VERY long. I just passed the 10 hour mark on it and it is showing no sign of stopping. Also, did I mention, its fun.

The DS Call of Duty games are all pretty good, and probably your best bet for a good FPS experience on the DS.

Metroid Prime Hunters is less shooting and more exploration and puzzle-solving but it's still great.

Dementium is fun for a while, however it is really, really repetitive and rather slow. The sequel might be better though, but I've never played it myself.

For strategy You could try Luminous arc and its sequel, or possibly Rondo of swords - though personally for me I haven't gotten past the third level on the Rondo of swords one.

Can't really help you on FPS's though, the only one I've actually gone through is Metroid prime hunters.

ok thanks guys, looks like I have a few games to start hunting for next time I'm on Ebay. Its a shame though that theyre so hard to find on a handheld...

Can't help you with FPS games but the only strategy game I truly recommend is Disgaea DS.
