Hey guys, I just recently got a friend's old gamecube for free and I was my local video store is selling all it's old GC games. For some reason they had hundreds.

So, are there any games I should be on the lookout for?

SKIES OF MOTHERFUCKING ARCADIA. If you don't, you're wasting your console.
Tales of Symphonia
Gladius
Fire Emblem

Personally, my two favorites are a bit obscure: The Hobbit and Lost Kingdoms. Both have quite a bit of replay value and are just darn fun. Hope that helps. :D

I so want a Lost Kingdoms 3. I want them to combine the good of both 1 and 2, since both had good and bad the other didnt. (Catching cards using ANY Card in 1, being able to replay levels in 2)

Anyways...
Cant go wrong with Windwaker...whee (alliteration)
I personally loved Sonic Adventure 2, and DX (port/remake of SA1) And Gauntlet: Dark Legacy. Also I particularly loved Kirby's Air Ride, even by myself, but I just loved doing all the challanges.

Lost Kingdoms 1 and 2. The best games which no one played.
So far...3 people in this thread have...
You're right. I'm a douchebag for using hyperbole.
Well...it seemed like no one played it when I was playing it, so Im just excited to find others who appreciate those amazing games. Also funny because right away 2 people mentioned them.

Nobody mentioned Phantasy Star online 1&2 yet?
Its awesome, i think the servers are down sonve forever, but this was far more fun offline anyway. Might want to give it a shot, its got splitscreen multiplayer, too.
Sadly the servers are shut down, but split screen is still awesome, and single player works. It doesn't really seem to stand up in gameplay compared to some titles today as the focus is mostly on leveling your character and collecting loot. But it can be very fun if you have someone to play with regularly :) I just find I get bored of it alone.

Very very good memories from the DC days even though on more than one occasion people I partied with stole my weapons when I died.

I enjoyed Baten Kaitos and its sequel. II isn't quite as good, but one of the strengths of the first one is how unusual it was, which you can't do in a sequel. Not the best card or RPG types I've ever played, but without a doubt one of the best looking. Terrible voice acting (and barks... ugh) but otherwise good music.

You will still do better with the afore-mentioned Lovecraftesque "Eternal Darkness" one of the best survival/horror titles ever, RE 4 (which made RE fun again,) or the amazing redo of Metal Gear Solid The Twin Snakes.

Paper Mario and the Thousand Year Door. It's a very fun game with interesting art design and story, however it has turn-based combat. Go for it if that aspect doesn't bother you.

Battalion Wars. It's a third person shooter, squad-based RTS hybrid. It's graphics are a bit cartoonish but it fits the game's story and sense of humor. It's a pretty damn fun game that from what I've seen is often overlooked. It can be difficult at times too, you have to plan out what you're going to do for some of the missions. So I guess overall it's challenging and fun.

Well, all my favorites have already been mentioned: Mario Sunshine, Windwaker and Tales of Symphonia. I'd advice you to keep an eye out for any Nintendo game they might have though. They're jolly good fun.
