So this week I'm looking to buy a new game. I don't like shooters, so that's a no go. Something with a good plot and gameplay preferably. I heard Fallout NV: Old World Blues was really good.

Also, Dishonored looks cool. If you haven't yet checked it out, I suggest you do so.

I already have:
Vanquish
Metro 2033
Skyrim
Fallout 3/NV
Red Dead Redemption/Undead Nightmare
Batman Arkham Asylum/City
Saints Row 3
Silent Hill HD
Metal Gear Solid HD
Transformers WFC
Mass Effect 1/2/3
SSX
Dragon Ball Z Burst Limit/Raging Blast 2

And I'm not going to bother saying the FPSs I own, because they are all pretty much the same thing.

Well if you liked the MGS HD collection [small]Why doesn't it include MGS1 Twin Snakes? it has the same graphics as 2, I don't get it)[/small] you may want to get MGS4 it's not the greatest thing ever but I liked it, though to be fair it was the only game I had when I had a PS3, other than that well I loved Bioshock, which seems to fit the list well, also PSN has Metal Slug and Metal Slug 2, EVERYBODY should play Metal Slug 2 it is perfect in every single way, in all seriousness it must be like 5$ and seeing the ending to that thing is definitely worth that, I promise you won't regret it, other than that I'm actually not very familiar with modern games, which is a shame because they seem nice but I prefer buying old games than new ones.

I think I'm going to recommend Kingdoms of Amalur: Reckoning. I had a blast with this game. I see you do enjoy a few WRPGs so you might like this. It kept me hooked for about 50 hours and I'm planing to do another playthru with a different character build soon. Check it out.

I recomend Journey on psn. It may not be your thing but it's worth a try (one of the best game I've played in years).

What? No heavy rain? No demon's souls? No dark souls? On your list?

Also i'm assuming you have a ps3 due to the HD collections so .I'll go with those . At least try demon's souls , it can't be that expensive now anymore .

These are the PS3 games I really enjoy:

Infamous 1 & 2
LittleBigPlanet 1 & 2
Sly Cooper HD
Ico & Shadow of the Colossus HD
3D Dot Game Heroes
WipEout HD Fury

Any of those I heartily recommend. Some of them might not be to your tastes, but hey.

If you're looking for something completely different, Rayman Origins is about $30 now. If you have a 3DS there's also a sale going on for Super Street Fighter IV which is $19.99 this week (otherwise there's the console version which I think is $20 by default now).

That's really about all I've got up my sleeve though. Sorry about probably being unhelpful.

For not liking shooters, as you so claim, you sure do own a lot of shooters...

Anyway, if you want something that is light on your wallet, and will keep you entertained in both story and gameplay for a bit, I would suggest Darksiders. It plays a lot like a Zelda game but has it's own twist on a few aspects. I've been playing it these past few days and I've been having a ball with it. You might like it, if you want something with a cool and interesting story.

Not to mention, cleaving demons in half with an 8 foot sword is stupidly satisfying.

Kingdoms of Amalur was an absolute blast for me, highly recommended. If you like something a little more difficult, check out Dark/Demon's Souls. Catherine is an utterly unique game with stylish graphics and a brilliant story with relatable characters, and El Shaddai is an excellent and visually spectacular action/platformer, which, while suffering from a few flaws, was still extremely memorable.

Alternatively, maybe the DmC HD Collection? Great games :)

Also, Journey rocked my socks, in a profound, emotional way.

Lets see, in the last year I would say Dark souls, Kingdoms of Amalur, Batman: Arkam city, Bastion, Catherine, Deus Ex: Human revelution, and dungeon defenders are all games I would recommend.

Even though you said you didnt like shooters I would be remiss if I didnt include my favorite 2 multiplayer shooters which are Battlefield 3 and Tribes: Ascend

Botanicula Bundle [http://www.humblebundle.com/] from The Humble Indy Bundle is well worth it. I beat Botanicula and it's such a weird ass game but it's incredibly fun too. Their all Point & Click adventure games but they're good.

I'm seeing a fair number of open world/sandbox type games there. If you enjoyed Arkham City and other open world games, then I recommend inFamous 1 & 2. Great games, cool story, awesome powers, you can't miss. If you're tired of superheroes and still want open world, Assassin's Creed II is excellent, probably the best game in that series with brotherhood as a close second. It really isn't necessary to play the first one, as the second one is far superior in gameplay and character. AC2 is also probably quite cheap by now given how long it's been out.

Demons and Dark souls are good fun if you're into it, but before buying them be sure you don't mind dying a thousand million times. In the first two levels. They are brutal games, but give incredible satisfaction when you (finally) get through a level.

Shadow of the Colossus is kind of similar to Demons souls in that way, you spend a lot of time running around finding the colossi (but the world is so awesome looking that you don't mind much) and the fights are incredibly intense. So if you want a challenge that won't kill you a million times like Demons and Dark souls would, SotC and Ico collection is a good choice.

In summary: Infamous 1 & 2, Assassin's Creed II, Shadow of the Colossus and Ico Collection. Maybe Demon's Souls or Dark Souls but check them out first to see if you like them.

Dragon Age Origins is REALLY fun. And it took me 50 hours for one playthrough so I'd recommend that.

Nah, he has a 360. Mass effect 1 and metro 2033 were never on the PS3. The HD collections there are on the 360 also :p Which makes MOST of these peoples suggestions useless!

OT: I Suggest witcher 2. If you enjoy RPG's you will LOVE witcher 2 :)

Just cause 2 is also one of the best sandbox games i have EVER played, so i recommend that as well.
