I would go with Assassin's Creed 1 and Bioshock.I also enjoyed Singularity, but the game has no replay value whatsoever.

Assassin's Creed. The first one. I think it's an okay game, and I basically love just running all around the city without a care in the world, but I wouldn't want to replay through all of those shitty repetitive side-missions again.
Agreed. However, the second one I've played through three times now and it's still brilliant, so it shows you just what those crappy side-missions took away from the game by being so repetative

Honestly, all the God of War games, as good as they are I've never seen a reason to play through any of them more than once.

Braid.
Great game; cool designs; interesting, brainmelting puzzles; brilliant music; and a main character named after me. Yet, once you've done the puzzles, there is no fun anymore, no snappy dialogue or interesting story to tell again, just nice backdrops and music.
Got it for a buck fifty, so it wasn't a bad deal at all.

It may have already been said, but Crackdown. I just couldn't find the motive to play through it once I was done with it, which is a shame, because it was a fun game. Keys to the City and such made it a lot more fun for longer, but eventually the game had to face up to not having much replay value (for me). That might have been what killed a lot of the hype for the sequel (again, for me).

There really hasn't been any game that I have played that I wasn't able to replay and enjoy.
Perhaps Heavy Rain though. I loved it despite its flaws, but if you know the story it just is quite boring to replay.

Twilight Princess. Fun zelda game, but what makes a zelda game 'great' is it's replay value. Majora's mask had the best replay value, but TP had practically none.

NO I DO NOT WANT TO COLLECT ALL THOSE LITTLE BUGS AGAIN. ALL I GET IS RUPEES. When you're trying to find ways to empty your wallet so that you can turn in another sidequest without reaching the max limit of money you can carry, something has gone completely wrong. What other 'optional' stuff do I get? Two extra bomb bags? Oh joy. I can carry all 3 types of bombs despite the fact that there is absolutely no point in doing so. Another sidequest? Helping that goron rebuild the bridge from North Hyrule to Hyrule castle. THATS IT. I help a character rebuild part of the scenery. Not that cool.

The first time through is pretty awesome. After that, no point.

GUN.

Remember that game? It was a sandbox third person cowboy game developed by the makers of Tony Hawk, and when it came out, it was actually pretty good. The shooting was good, the gameplay was tight, the lands were varied, and the only real problems with it were that the map was quite small and that the story moved far too fast for its own good. But all in all, it was good. The first time.

I recently tried to replay it, and it's almost impossible. Despite being a sandbox game, it's depressingly linear, and there really isn't as much to do as it seemed the first time.
Blimey I loved that game when I first got it! The scenery was fantastically well detailed and speaking of, the attention to detail was very impressive. What really sold it for me though was the music - I have yet to come across a game score that comes anywhere near that of GUN.

Sadly the music must have taken up a lot of the budget. As beautiful as the scenery was, the transitions between different areas was rather sudden. Sure allowances had to be made on the "size:quality" ratio but it was still there. Also, while the script wasn't that bad a story, the continuity was buggered to a point where it was embarassing. Whoever wrote the story gave no concession to the concept of a timeline and it was glaringly obvious to anyone with more than 4 working brain cells.

I also agree that the exposition was horrifically jarring and the story way too short. One minute you're a Dupty and with literally your first "mission", you realise the Mayor / Sherrif is corrupt and you have to bring him down. If you're good, all this takes less than 5 minutes.

All this became apparent when I tried to play it again and I was saddened as it spoiled my enjoyment of a very aesthetically pleasing game.

Heavy rain, Had just the killer changed by how you played the game...
I think it would ruin it if the killer was different each time, it would make it less real :)
I don`t really think so, not if they implemented it properly.

I have to say, The Warriors.

Once you've seen the outcome of the story, it's pretty much over. The gang isn't what it used to be, you now know their backstory, and sadly there's not much of a future in being in a gang.

Once I completed everything, even though the game was fun, with a captivating backstory to a pretty niche movie, you kinda take a step back and say "wow... That was good" as you put it on your shelf.

Have you ever played a video game that you loved playing the first time and only the first time.

If so which video game was it and why couldn't you bring yourself to play it a second time?
The longest journey, fantastic game but any adventure game is only charming whilst the plot and puzzles are still a mystery.

true, and having the 'biggest gun' on the whole play through while situational added a bit of unexpected challenge ( boss fight with Arjet where you have destroy the AI an not the Orbital Frame, kind of a pain when you kill it 3 hits and you miss judge distance >.>;;)
That particular battle, while refreshing, had me cursing with every new playthrough. What the hell?! Can't hit it too much, have to escape its devastatingly powerful charged attack, and time my grab perfectly to hurt my actual opponent? Cool idea, but the first time I faced this boss I roared myself hoarse.
-.- i understand you all to well on that my power armored friend, i'm amazed my controller ( one that came with the system) survived it, but then it survived DMC3's initial release (when normal was in fact hard) and the controller snapping fury that first playthrough endued
