Good Horror Games for 360?

Oh, yes. Condemned 2: Bloodshot definatley. That part with the grizzly bear? Horrifying. The freak in the mirror in that hotel? Shat myself.
I just wish that they never explained why everyone had become psycho, it takes away from the mystery factor of it all.

Overall, Condemned 2: Bloodshot has to be my most favorite horror game of all time.

Is Call of Cthulhuark Corners of the Earth backwards compatible?

If it is, and you can find a X-Box copy, then that's your best bet at a good horror game on the 360.

The atmosphere, tension and sheer sense of terror and panic will more than make up for the 'last gen' visuals.

Only thing that really pops to my mind is dead space. It's not the best horror game out there, but it does have several good moments, especially as you go on. You might find it gets a bit repetitive though.

Condemned is not scary.

For a while, I've been looking for a good horror game. I've also heard a lot about this game. Lots of positive reviews. I've heard people describe it as genuinely disturbing, nightmare-inducing, and the whole she-bang. I saw this game at a store on discount, and I thought to myself: "This is the one. This is the game I've been needing and I will enjoy it."

I played the game for an hour, and I realized I was trying to be scared. That doesn't sound like much of a horror game to me.
The loose controls, the AI, the gameplay itself... Everything was just so broken.

Our copy of Condemned now lays on a shelf collecting dust.

Horror is too broad of a genre. There's just too many types of horror, and I sure haven't found my perfect subgenre yet. Until then, there's no such thing as good horror IMO.

try condemned and fear. play condemned 1 and then 2. or you will never get the genuine horror you are looking for.

Condemned seems scary yeah, but I've played a bit of F.e.a.r 2 and it's really not that scary. It's a normal fps with a slowmotion mode and sometimes there are corpses in the sealing.

Pity you dont have a PS or a PC. Id suggest Silent Hill 2. One of the only genuinally scary games I can think of.

I agree with the masses though. Condemned: Criminal Origins and the first half of Bloodshot. Plus Dead Space for shock value.

Dead Space CAN be scary if you play it at 2am with all lights off and your eyes half open.

Dead Space. Amazing game.

Condmened is probably more creepy and uneasy, it makes you feel kind of sick and claustrophobic, but as an actual game Dead Space is miles ahead of it on every level. It made me jump a fair few times too!
