Good movies/TV shows that had women muscle up for their roles?

I guess there's also Noomi Rapace in Prometheus.

Pissed me off so much that they killed Shaw and ended that story that I never watched Covenant. Was looking forward to her and David's head exploring the Gigerian alien home world. I didn't want another Alien rehash, since they will never be as good as the first two, especially the first. Will never watch it.

Does it help if I say Covenant wasn't just an Alien rehash, it was also bad in its own right?

A little. It satisfies me knowing Prometheus sold much better. What Fox gets for meddling too much.

Gina Carano is a career martial artist and American gladiator, not a fitness model.

And the easiest answer to this question is of course, Linda Hamilton's transformation for Terminator 2: Judgement Day's version of Sarah Connor. Unfortunately the circumstances behind it were rather unsavory.
Well the new addition to The Mandolorian is Katie Sackoff, and she's not a fitness model, but she gets quite fit for her work, as they usually pick her for buff roles. Her YT channel even documents her training routine for her different acting gigs when she gets them. So @Ezekiel was right about the source material, if not the actress specifically.

Surprised no-one has brought up Alicia Vikander who reports say she gained 12 lbs of muscle for her role as Lara Croft in the more recent Tomb Raider film.
