Good Music For Homework.

I need help, my mind races too much for me to do my homework. I have found that Music helps me focus so I want to know what you guys would suggest. I would like recommendations that are good for concentrating. My musical tastes are Jazz, any Rock, Classic, Instrumental, and Game Soundtracks.

So give me a hand recommend some study music.

Studies show that the best way to go is banal pop-music, simply because it won't really dostract you with complexity but will force your brain to work on shutting it out.

I'd say any music without lyrics would be helpful. I listen to a lot of video game soundtracks, so I just use ones that are either really mellow and ambient or ones that are simply repitive. Lately, I've been using the soundtrack to Journey for it, though I do occasionally get into the pieces as they play.

Back when I was in college, my favourite music for studying and doing homework were movie soundtracks, particularly those from Hans Zimmer. It's not the best music I've ever heard but it was enough to keep me focused. Nowadays, I can't listen to the Gladiator, The Last Samurai and Black Hawk Down soundtracks without feeling like I should be hitting the books.
