There's a DS game that doesn't use the touch screen? I was sure all the DS games used it at least slightly.

That game is unbeatable without using the touchscreen.
But its' touchscreen use is so minimal I forgot to mention it.

No, there are plenty that don't require the touchscreen. Some of them do use it for small features, like Poffin-making in Pokemon.

Pokemon Platinum,
im nearly 20- and though "Hell, the last time i tried Pokemon was Blue on the gameboy, so what the hell"
I underestimated the game as an RPG, now i've got 50+ hours and climbing, and i do not play any of my other DS games. Im a big FF fan, but i find Pokèmon to be MUCH more entertaining.

EDIT* saw you'r new post, then id have to say New Super Mario Bros, or Mario Kart.
You lose lots of options if you don't enjoy turn based.
haha ahh the gold old days of blue and red i miss them :( im going through a very nostalgic period in my life and im tempted to purchase platinum.

not a big ff fan but my ex and friends doo speak highly of it so i think i might just bite the bullet and give it a shot.

... hmmm ...worms open warfare 2 doesnt use the stylus much infact u dont need it atall

Phoenix Wright may be used without the touchscreen; it's just a port from the GBA after all (well... except the last case, but you can just skip that and come back to it when your have a new stylus).

Blue and Red is the way to go!
Seriously tho, i AM a big final fantasy fan, and not a pokemon fan at all, so if you'r tempted to get Platinum, id surely reccomend it over FF3 and FF4 (Played both till' the end) Not saying they are bad games, i just enjoy Platinum to a whole other level. :)

Pokemons!
This.
Shouldn't really need to be said though, so I'll go with N+.
Madical funsies.
The fact that only one of you pointed out N+ surprises me.
N (and all the upgraded versions) is by far one of the most fun, yet completely and utterly frustratingly satisfying games on the market.

Go with that, no stylus needed.

I was going to say FFIV, but you don't like RPGs.... Hmmm.... the only other one I think of is Resident Evil Deadly Silence or whatever its called. It's RE1, but on your DS.

Sonic Rush. The game is awesome. You only use the stylus in the Menu. Its Sonic, the way it should be, 2D. It uses both screens when going through the levels, switching between the two when you go too far up or down in the level. Its awesome. And, its only $20.

super mario 64

the touch screen doesn't see any use in the actual adventure, but is used only for the minigames

I recommend Henry Hatsworth. It's an action platformer with a puzzler tacked on, and can be easily played using only the face buttons.
ya but touchscreen parts are so fast that they make you use your finger anyway

The Phoenix Wright games are good if you want to make your brain go up a gear. It can be a little fiddly without the touch screen, but still playable.

Final Fantasy A2 is perfectly playable without the stylus... you can play it with the stylus but its a royal pain in the you know where.

sorry if already said

Edit:its a cross between a RPG (Kind of) and a turn based strategy (mostly)

Lego Star Wars: both trilogies. it has some stuff on the touchscreen, but thats is something you never have to use.

and i find your problem slightly odd, as my DS had an extra stilus. oh well.

I've never had that damn stylus. Always disappears.
I just use a mechanical pencil that ran out of led. Works fucking great, more comfortable than the tiny stylus.

Castlevania: Dawn of Sorrows. The touchscreen is used, but only a few times. You can easily use your finger for them.
Personal favorite Castlevania game.
Also, Kirby Superstar Ultra.

Bleach DS is a good one. Surprisingly good portable fighting game by Treasure, only uses the touchscreen as shortcuts for moves which you'd be better served pressing with your thumb instead of the stylus, or just inputting manually.
This and Mario Kart are good non stylus ones. Seriously I think stylus are like $2 at Target and Gamestop.

i got platinum awsome ahh the memories although some of the new ones are fucking rediculous...

also im kinda tempted of gettin FFVII since it is the one people like to talk about as being the best ... im not sure though im trying to be more open minded and give a JRPG a chance
