I work as an environmental scientist so I travel back and forth between my office here in Cairns and to various different mine sites in Australia and around the world. Unfortunately most of these places are extremely remote, where internet access is simply not an option. What are some great games that dont require always online DRM and preferably have nothing to do with games for windows live (i'll explain in a moment).
Even online product registration can be a serious problem for me, I recently got burnt when I bought bulletstorm only to find that it required me to sign up my Games for Windows live account online, which my crappy home internet connection simply couldn't do (it failed its update over and over and over again). So I'm how having to get a crack for it to illegally play a game I paid for!
So yeah what are some great games that'll make use of my fancy new laptop that don't require much or any online crap?
My specs are:
8.00 GB RAM
64-bit operating system
Quad core, i7
Graphics: 2 cards, one intel and one NVIDIA GeForce GT 540M. 1 gig each (gaming graphics doesnt come on unless playing games etc).
