I think Melbourne was vaguely flooded for a day. And sometimes it gets a little windy. But otherwise, the weather's not too dramatic. It has frequent mood swings, but they're relatively mild.

Well. We have trees. And grass. Maybe we don't get many killer snakes and spiders in the city, but there is certainly wind, sun, rain, and occasionally even hail. Nature doesn't disappear just because we have trams. Besides, Melbourne is only a small part of Victoria.

If I were a regular California girl, I'd complain about how it's starting to get a little cool to tan properly outside.

But, no. I tend to stay inside and do hw. I'm not that confident about my body to go tan outside on a towel.

Theyre more tropical storms than hurricanes. I hate the slush too its like the second worst thing to have the wade through. I like the weather for the most part. Especially when it rains really hard.

I love the rain. And thunder most of the time.

The winters are a little cold, but I'm Scandinavian/Greenlandish Inuit, so I couldn't care less.
It rains every now and again..

The worst phenomena's in Denmark are the ones that are powered by wind.
A few years ago we had a storm that blew down 20 meter tall trees, shattered roofs, and hurled loads of shite everywhere.
My dads brothers wife had to get 9 stitches when she was hit in the head by a flying roof tile.

And I think there was a small tornado or two last year, but really, nothing ever happens.

I live in Australia. We don't really get much in the way of natural disasters.

Unless you count the spiders. I woke up with one on my face once. That was pretty disastrous.

Oh, and occasionally everything catches on fire.

NO disaters are common where I live but there was an earthquake maybe three months ago. I never felt it but I know someone who shook a little and another where his whole house shook.

There was a tornado in brooklyn once...its was a sissy shit thing and as far as i know no one got even hurt or scared....OHH and i was in the middle of hurrican katrina...does that count?

Well the weather here in Iceland can be pretty fucking random. With it often changing from awesome to not awesome in a manner of minutes.

Nothing of much note. It can rain heavily sometimes so we get small floods and there is the occasional heavy snowstorm; but I bet that those living in more northern areas such as Canada, Scandinavia, or Russia would figure they're are nothing. We get the remements of hurricanes every now and then but all that results are a lot of downed branches and the occasional fallen tree. I did have a tiny tornado not that far from where I live a week ago but it was small compared to the ones out in the Mid-west that can pick up houses.

Where do you live man? It's been nothing but warm weather in north western Ontario. Very, very strange for October.

I'm in Calgary.

It's not snowing yet, but it also isn't Winter. I'd guess by late October it drops to below zero temperatures though.

That's about the same for me. Only the temperature this month have been averaging around 20 C, It's AWESOME!

We had some earthquake activity in the winter and early spring of 2008, and a snowy winter in '05, but other than that the Wasteland has a very benign climate. 105 degrees isn't unheard of in July and August, but even the cheap apartments have air conditioning as either wall/window units or central.
