So today, in an attempt to faze out paper tickets, QR (Queensland Rail) have greatly increased their ticket prices.
It used to cost me $5.70 for a daily ticket from my train station but now it will cost me $7.90. However I don't have a student card untill March so it will infact cost me $15.80. As a poor uni student, I really can't afford this. Its actually cheaper (and quicker, given all the delays I encounter on the train) for me to drive to brisbane.
I will eventually crumble and get the go card QR is pushing so much but I've never really needed it.
In conclusion - QR, stop stealing my money!
