I've heard that the Pc was the better than consoles in exclusive games, but I don't know any of them. I only know like WoW, Guild Wars, Aion, Portal and that's it. So could someone name the ones that are good?

What type of games are you interested in? And what are your age limits? Do you just want new games or the older classic exclusives as well?

To start off, here's a few competition-free games.

-Myst
-Riven, the sequel to Myst
-Age of Empires (Stay away from 3rd sequel!)
-Age of Mythology
-Anything from Blizzard
-Anything from Valve (console counterparts are feeble in comparison)
-Halo 1 (again, PC version is superior; Halo 2 PC is garbage)
-Doom
-Quake
-Chex Quest!
-The Neverhood, if you're into mundane albeit rare games
-This.

It doesn't matter to me. I just want to know what's good for the PC.

Aquaria. Look it up on YouTube. A masterpiece of indie gaming.

Nuff said.

There have been no worthwhile PC exclusives in ten years. Also, portal is available for consoles so that is no longer on your list.

If you are looking for PC exclusives you need to look more to specific genres of gaming. Things like RTS games don't translate well to consoles so Dawn of War II, Starcraft, Age of Empires all are pc exclusives. MMOs like those you listed are also good PC only games. Some shooters have version that are on consoles as well where the PC version is just superior such as Team Fortress 2. More often than not if a game is done well on PC and can be replicated on a console it is.

Although, the PC versions are usually better if I do say so myself. Cases in point: Any FPS or RTS game.

You can get a load of extra content for games like and including portal on the PC for free that I think you have to pay for on the consoles if its available at all. At least thats what I think is true?

I suppose that still doesnt really cut it as PC exclusive so just to make sure Im on topic, erm... Crisis?

EDIT: totally agree that RTS games are best for PC

Alright.

Baldur's Gate 2: Shadows of Amn, a PC exclusive from 2000, probably the best rpg ever made in my oh-so-humble opinion. The story is excellent, the combat is entertaining and tactical, the visuals (Even today) quite beautiful with it's 2D isometric maps, and with a cast of some of the most entertaining and memorable characters and companions ever thrown into a videogame. Minsc & Boo, Viconia, Jaheira, Jan Jan, Edwin, the list goes on and on.

Planescape: Torment from 1999 is much like BG above, even uses the same engine, but has one thing standing out for it; the story. Planescape: Torment has easily the best story ever told in a game. The combat isn't as well done as BG, nor the visuals as clean, but that story... damn... you'll never forget it once you've played it. I quote a quote from wikipedia;

"...we were swept away by Planescape: Torment. It wasn't the effective engine, demented characters, or lavish lands that won us. It was the rich storyline. This tale is more a reflection of your true self than any game ever made."

I think that's about right!

More recently there's The Witcher which stands out as another fantastic example of the rpg genre even among the two named above. What really separates it from the rest is the morality throughout the game and how as you play the game you'll find yourself making choices that don't simply come down to good or evil, but instead are much more in a grey sort of area, and how every one of those choices have some impact on the story being told. There was a console port in the works for this game, but that was canceled unfortunately so for now the game remains a PC exclusive.

Moving away from the realms of RPG's there are rts, a pair of recent ones being...

Company of Heroes. This is perhaps the best rts out there right now in its own way. Using the basic gameplay mechanics of the genre we've grown to love it throws in destructible environments and the ability to drastically change the battlefield over the course of a match as well as individual unit AI and a fantastic roster of units and abilities. It also helps the game looks just as amazing to watch, with soldiers running for cover behind rubble and explosions having a proper destructive effect on buildings and the environment, as it is to play.

Sins of a Solar Empire. You start out with a single fighter, watching it zoom around through space, firing its weapons and diving through flak-fire. Zoom Out. Now you're watching the cruisers and battleships, dozens of them, almost a hundred, with little fighters and bombers dodging between the ships and explosions and weapon-fire filling the screen. Zoom Out. Now you're staring at the motherships, two big ones, dwarfing the nearby ships that battle around them, both exchanging fire and constantly spewing those little fighters from their bays which are little more than dots compared to the vast size of these ships. Zoom Out. Now you can see the space-stations that army is fighting control for. Massive orbiting platforms that make everything else look tiny. Zoom Out. Now the planet, the battle bellow just a series of flashes in the darkness of space near the planets atmosphere. Zoom. Now a solar system, multiple planets, the battle lost in the vastness of space although your HUD informs you that another fleet is travelling through space right now, indicated by a simple Icon, to join the battle. Zoom. And now it's a whole galaxy, that one battle just one of dozens being fought throughout space, hundreds, perhaps thousands of ships being managed and flown. All this at your fingertips and under your control!

THAT is Sins of a Solar Empire.

Or if you're more the FPS type then there's STALKER: Shadow of Chernobyl as well as it's sequel to try out. The most immersive and in many ways hardcore fps to have been released in years. With a dedicated modding community and good developer support, the series has become a huge hit throughout the PC gaming community as some of the most amazing fps experience you can play today.

Methinks that's enough for now. Happy? If you want I could just list a bunch, but that would be boring.

What? WoW? Company of Heroes? Dawn of War? Age of Mythology? ArmA II? Crysis? Warcraft 3? The Total War series? And that's not including the indie scene, which has seen the likes of Trials 2: SE, The Path, Osmos, Audiosurf, and many more. If you don't like any of those PC exclusives, that's fine. But to say that there haven't been any worthwhile exclusives is ignorant.

portal is on consul, but I did sort of like crisis despite lots of unfavorable reviews, also any RTS ever made is better on PC

I've never found that Exclusive games really make much difference to a platform only the ones that don't come out for your platform.
