good ps1 games

Lately i have run out of stuff to do. So in a fit of nostalgia i dug out my old ps1, but was dismayed to discover that my games were gone!. I found this depressing and have decided to restock my inventory.

So I am asking you to recommend some good games for the original playstation.

Two games I loved playing on my PS1 were Oddworld: Abe's Exoddus and Worms Armageddon. Not sure if that's your forte, but it's a start.

Hogs Of War is an absolute must, Resident Evil 1, 2 and 3, Medievil, Kula World (If you can find it), Silent Hill, the original Medal Of Honor...

 

[Daystar Clarion]

Ape Escape. The first game to fully utilise the PS1's dual shock controller. It is awesome.

 

[Aggressor and Usurper]

Spyro 2. Ripto's Rage it was called I think, but in Europe it was Gateway to Glimmer. Absolutely cracking game, one of the few I've ever 100%ed.

 

[Caligulove]

Bushido Blade.

Actually a really fun, unique "realistic" fighting game in that matches are quick and bloody.
Would be worth tracking down as its also one of the only games made by Square I've ever been able to play haha

most definantly the entire original Resident Evil games (1, 2, and 3) by three they were full of plot holes to the point their metaphorical boat was at the bottom of the metaphorical atlantic. Freakin great tho.

For a quirky title you could go for "No-one can stop Mr. Domino"
other than that the original GTA games are playable.

The other half said Croc: Legend of the Gobbos and Gex.

Finally my 2 faves, Blood Omen: Legacy of Kain and Soul Reaver.

Can't go wrong with RPGs, and the PS1 had some great titles.

Vagrant Story, Legend of the Dragoon, Final Fantasy IX (as well as VIII and VII, and rereleases of I-VI)

Spyro 1-3.

Just do it.

These were the ONLY Spyro games, so you should really try them.

Kula World! It's some kind of... 3D puzzle platformer? Really challenging once you reach the higher levels. I bought it on PSN and it must be one of the best purchases ever.
